Korras tactics are not above reproach and I wouldn’t say the plan is the absolute best but I think the criticism of her not emoting well ignores the stakes of the issue. When Korra left Raikos office she said her tribe was going to be wiped out and it was going to be on his head. This isn’t about petty differences it’s ab her tribe and their survival. Imagine asking a Ukrainian avatar to be neutral on Russias invasion. She’s trying to save lives and Mako wants to be loyal to Raiko in favor of her when this man shown you nothing ab his character and what he is about. Mako knows the stakes and still did that. I would have had a different kind of energy if he did that to me so Mako is lucky her reaction wasn’t worse than that. Once you betray someone in a issue where they feel their family is vulnerable that’s a line most won’t let you come back from. Now I’ve always been open to the idea Mako could have been like I don’t think that’s a great plan but here’s what I would do/here’s how I could help or something but he didn’t do that. The first couple episodes when they’re all on the same side and she is being a bitch to other characters I think she deserves criticism but when someone’s legitimately on the opps side you gotta treat them like the opposition. But we all agree a VERY necessary break up. I feel like Korra was the problem during the relationship and Mako was in the wrong with the break up. Also could u guys watch the next episode as a standalone or do three at a time next time episode seven and eight are pretty important to watch together they are a two-parter. Thanks🙏🏽🙏🏽

- The Avatar's job is not to remain neutral but to maintain balance, and if that requires wiping out entire armies or taking out world leaders then that's what the Avatar is there to do. The "must remain neutral" thing is just something Unalaq was claiming to manipulate Korra. If my family and homeland was about to be wiped out by invaders, I wouldn't have to be an emotionally driven hothead to go to any extreme to protect them. Given the circumstances I'd say Korra is actually showing restraint. War aside, that's a really toxic relationship. I'd give her at least a little extra leeway given the circumstances but things were pretty toxic there even before the war started.
