this is probably my favourite overall season of the show (and one of my favourite tv seasons ever)! so excited to see you watch all of it.

I love your reactions. I just wanna highlight that Ken would go to jail without his father´s cover up. He drank alcohol at the wedding and took coke on the same day with Stewy so they d find he drove under influence and there d be also probably no proof of a deer(max "imaginary"deer). I know what Logan is doing is manipulative, but I think its also very importnat to realize that without Logan, Ken d be at minimum with a ruined image forver, but also possibly in jail. So while we can feel bad for him, realistically he is still more priveleged in the mess he created than anyone else d be.

Kendall's driving incident is directly inspired by senator Ted Kennedy's car accident in 1969 where he was driving home from a gathering at Chappaquiddick island with his campaign staffer Mary Jo Kopechne. Ted, like Kendall, never really drove himself and they ultimately ended up driving into a pond. Ted made it out ok and attempted to dive down and rescue her but wasn't successful and then trekked back to the party, changed clothes and established an alibi. It wasn't until the next day at 9 AM that he actually reported the crime. He was seen as the presidental frontrunner at the time but this accident effectively ruined his career, he pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and received a suspended jail sentence and probation but the whole things was very much seen as a big conspiracy and cover up. In the words of Andrew Cohen in Ted's 2009 obituary: "If you forgave him, then you saw the rest of his life as his noble and dogged and astonishingly productive way of paying for his sins that night. If you did not forgive him for the death of Mary Jo Kopechne, then you saw the rest of his life as a travesty upon justice, a sign that the rich and famous rarely pay for their mistakes the way the rest of us do.”

This season is such a rollercoaster it may be the best one aside from the last season

Natasha

also I have a soft spot for Roman love that little freak - and actually do think Stewy meant it/is his friend he's just like, into money

The way y'all distrust Stewy is so interesting to me. Haha.

The season that really made the show a hit and the best right behind S4, imo. Each episode just gets better….can’t wait for more!

By my figuring he'd have got about 10-15 years. Now the law has changed and he'd have been facing life in prison. I still think he'd have got away with it without the cover up though, there was basically nothing connecting him to it.

I really need you to make peace with Stewy, please. He's like the only one who is actually somewhat straightforward about his motives and he's SO much fun once you stop seeing him as some big bad guy

One thing Maple misses is that Ken had drugs and alcohol in his system. If he had done things the right way, he would have been arrested. Maybe good attorneys get him out but there is no proof of the deer. All they have is a dead kid and Ken would have multiple drugs in his system.
