Forgive me y'all. i literally thought I already uploaded this. it's just been sitting on my computer doing nothing. how embarrassing. Ep 7 should be up today too if my computer can take a break from crashing long enough.

Watching y'all first say how hard the last episode was then watching the intro/interview reaction reminded me of a meme I saw a while ago, unrelated but fits. "It gets worse before it gets worse". Japanese changed their tactics, initially at Guadalcanal and others they let them land then counter attacked, starting at Tarawa I believe they decided to start opposing the beach landing directly. Hacksaw ridge I believe was Okinawa.

I don't know why it was this of all the reactions I've seen that made me recall this, but, it's incredible what happens to your mind when you're under fire. Somehow, time is both moving too fast and too slow, all at once. Everything is moving like it's under water, and yet your thoughts are moving so quickly that the effect is like the world is jittery, as if there's a few frames missing in a video. I love this series, above all others, for the fact that it doesn't shy away from exposing you to the ugly truth of war, in a way that feels very grounded and real. It's not like some other films where it's trying to sort of preach to you "war is bad". It just simply shows you everything happen and the lesson is self-evident.
