In the new mission I am writing, you are searching through a college campus for gear and supplies. You come across an emergency check-in area. Below is the setting for the scene.

I have included 4 options to choose from. Are there other options you would like to see?

---

Your footsteps crunch on gravel as you venture deeper into the Emergency Check-in area, the remnants of a hasty evacuation stretching out in front of you. To your immediate left, a series of worn tents stand, their fabric billowing weakly in the faint breeze. You surmise that these once served as makeshift medical stations, judging by the spilled bandages and empty medicine vials scattered around.

Straight ahead, rows of foldable metal chairs sit eerily empty, some overturned, creating an impromptu maze of abandonment. Beside them, a wooden table, now half-covered in dust, hosts a scattering of clipboards with pages filled with hastily written names, perhaps a list of survivors or attendees. There's an unsettling silence, punctuated only by the distant cawing of a crow.

To the right, a toppled whiteboard, its fading markers beside it, displays hastily penned directives—evacuation routes, emergency contact numbers, and other crucial information, all now rendered moot. As you breathe in the still air, the scents of old sweat, fear, and rust hit you, and you can almost hear the ghostly whispers of those desperate days.

Pushing past the entrance to the check-in area, your eyes dart around, quickly absorbing every detail. A small walkie-talkie, taped to a table, grabs your attention. Next to it is a handwritten sign: "press the button and state your name."

I really like these choices but I will go with breaking the walkie-talkie or leaving it alone because if it's anything like the military base, I don't feel like having to deal with bandits.

I'd take the walkie-talkie to a safe area where I could still view the emergency centre and contact whomever is on the other end, but I would give myself an authoritative title like Captain or Lieutenant.
