As I work on Part 3, I want to add new items of value in an apocalyptic setting. These items should have some of these qualities:

  • Be useful for survival.
  • Be used with an in-game skill.
  • Fill a role not in-game.
  • Have an impact on the game.

So, let me here what you'l like to see added to Part 3. I have also shared with you a spreadsheet of items already in the game.

Walkie Talkies (communication) sickle (Farming and weapon)can opener (Open food?) whistle (Alert fellow survivors or dog whistle) laser pointer (weapon attachment or luring people) compass (Navigation) Fanny pack (Container) Thermos (Food and drink) wheel barrow (carry supplies and injured survivors and garden or construction) gas mask (use against the gas bombs we can already make) grappling hook (Obvious use) Carabiners ( connect ropes or lock stuff) Ski poles (its Colorado! A weapon) Voice Recorder (Kelly, good for luring zombies) Bullhorn (Kelly, She had one I think? Can use it to lure zombies from an area)

Claymore mine: useful for defense, could be a special item to have in the event of an attack on the safe haven (could also be an internal MC debate to use it or save it for a bigger emergency), skill would be science (maybe to make sure it doesn't go off by accident when found or setting it up); only thing I'm not sure of is if this is that different from the explosive charge that can be crafted

FYI, the porn mag (from the pharmacy office ) is not showing in inventory.

Strong Acid (science, force entry/object destruction ), Flash-bang/smoke grenade, land mines, stimulant (rare, for instant reduce of fatigue )

Electronic Door locks (Used to add additional security to doors - Such as added security on a building where supplies are kept), electronic alarms for camp security (Motion activated, etc..), Parabolic microphone (It is the kind normally seen on TV where it has a cone and can be pointed at a direction for long range eavesdropping/spying. (Would be great to use with sneak and electronics where you could hide and listen in on other survivors/other camps for intel gathering.), 'bug' microphones (Small listening devices that could be placed in an enemy camp to allow intel gathering / early warning system. .. Rocket launcher? x'D There are also underwater drones which have cameras/lights on them for exploring in lakes but I can't really think of a survival use for one. Fishing Net that could be put somewhere to catch fish, similar to an animal trap but for fish. A Cymbal-banging monkey could be a humorous way to lure zombies/living to an area you want them. Intercom (Since we're in a larger area now, maybe having an intercom setup throughout the area could help), Also maybe we could reinforce our vehicles with crafting? Such as welding bumpers/spikes onto them, reinforcing the car itself. Throwing knives/tomahawk's for weapons would be fun. Would be a quiet means of killing at medium range other than using a bow or suppressed weapon. Besides, you can feel like a ninja :P A camel bag would be useful - it's a backpack with a plastic bladder inside of it that can contain water while the bag gives extra inventory capacity, a tube runs from the bladder of water so you can drink on the move. Flashbang grenades or makeshift ones. That's all I can think of right now!

Explosive arrows for bow and crossbow users could be fun, too.

Snow shoes (winter?) snow mobile (winter?) Skis (Again.. if we see Colorado winter) Snow coat (winter?) Bug spray (Zombie Mosquitos no thanks) Jumper Cables (Vehicals) Car jack (vehicals) Lantern (Alternative to flashlight) Buckets (Used to collect water and combined with soap we get soap bucket that allows us to: wash dog, nephew, our cloths, our selves, and for the romantic or sexual people out their, wash are romance option) Yarn (for the cat) Coffee filters (filter water) floss (many options) Hand sanitizer, mouth wash, and hair spray (arsonist dream aka multiple fire starting options) Shoe laces from old shoes (multiple uses) SHOWER CURTAIN (make a tarp out of it... so bathrooms are more useful) Sock plus rock? (Weak mace weapon, can learn about it from Nora?) Umbrella (Rain and many others) Vineger (many options) Wire coat hangers (metal in bedrooms, also could unlock a car) Ziplock bags (food preserves)

Fire extinguisher (weapon and to stop fires)

Recrational drugs to either use, trade, or possibly bribe one of the factions with. Child/Dog specific weapons and armor, like a Police K9 harness and a BB gun/sparring sword for the kid to practice with. Just to increase their chances of not dying/saving your characters ass. A high electronics/crafting check to turn the CB radio into a wind-up CB Radio. Some type of concealable weaponry for negotiating with other factions? I don’t know how that would work coding wise.

What about the ability to build a greenhouse? or solar powered routers? with less materials needed than the servnet servers?

Robert C. Kirby

Sorry, I've been away for a bit... Solar powered motion sensor lights (set up near pit traps would be great for attracting wanderers at night), solar/crank small electronic items such as flashlights, radios, walkie talkies, etc. Say it with me everybody... rechargeable batteries, camping based equipment including water filters etc, distraction items such as radios or sirens that could be set up at a distance to attract wanderers away from a given area activated remotely, improvised fishing traps under survival, rigging the sun-net server to allow remote access to computers that it might be attached to, Firefighter work rig (heavy jacket/overalls/helmet/facemask with O2 supply/as well as the axe), modifying existing armor with high enough skill levels such as leather+kevlar, there are a lot more but that's it for the moment. Thanks!
