> I tried to keep a steady expression as I emerged from behind the screen, now clean and fully dressed with no vestiges of vomit anywhere. > ... A situation that I was struggling to maintain, given that my mana sight was still running, and I could still see the little strands of mana invading Mary's brain. The sight was making me nauseous all over again. Heh. > "Sorry, I didn't know that," I answered, which was perfectly true. If Christine took something else from my apology that I hadn't explicitly said, that was her fault. Heh. Turn about is fair play, huh? > "Huh?" I commented stupidly as my gaze rolled over the bookcase. Not that my focus was on it; my still-active mana sight showed me the mana behind it, on the other side of the wall, and what was there made no sense. Oh? Hmmm... > I still haven't figured out how, if there's magical translation going on, your mouths are moving in sync with your words. Interesting... Is something similar to Fetch Quest going on? Oh man! Thomas is figuring things out! And, it seems like we're finally about to get an answer about what caused the war! Sweet!

Are all gods so lazy that they just change the language to english? P.S If it turns out the humans were enslaving the demons, I'm going to make a request for a what if where they summoned Katie (Human, God, Zombie, or one of the versions of her that failed to become a god).

> I could see why they'd been driven underground. No one actually ever said the dwarves has been driven underground, though I suppose the earlier mention of underground farms implies it.

Thomas's comment there was more 'I can see why they were forced to make use of underground spaces to increase their farming area' rather than 'I can see why they were forced to move their entire civilization undergound'. They haven't moved their full civilization underground, but their cities have ended up with an extensive vertical component. I thought it would be interesting to have dwarves that live underground not because of racial stereotypes, but because plausible in-story reasons forced them there.
