Well, friends, we’re in it now. School has started and fall officially is upon us next week. Even though the days are still balmy, I can sense the impending change of seasons in the crispness of the morning air. The steady rhythm of fall is replacing the erratic pace of summer. I’m leaning in 😌

I recognize and am so grateful for these seemingly mild days as I witness extreme weather impacting so many across the world. It seems to be getting more intense with each passing day. If you’re in the midst of one of the many current and ongoing crises, I would love to help out your community. Please send me a private message here on Patreon with details on the charitable/volunteer organizations most helpful to you and yours. My heart is with you all ❤️

Here’s what’s what this week in the WWC:

  1. Wednesday’s early access to my public YouTube video is the final leg of my PNW trip (kind of…if you watched my Plan With Me video from last week, you know I returned to Washington for another fun adventure. Lots of spoilers for this month’s content in that one!). I had the chance to stay at one of my wishlist airbnb’s and then headed back to the Olympic Peninsula to spend some time in the Olympic National Park.
  2. Friday’s community exclusive video will be a Day in the Life vlog - that I have yet to film. I’m interested in your input on this - would you prefer a true follow me around on a regular day as I have posted the past couple of months or should we try to get out and do some fun local things?
  3. Our September live hangout will be either this Thursday or Friday evening (probably either 6 or 8 pm CT). I’ll put up a poll sometime in the next couple of days where you can vote on what you prefer and we’ll go with the majority.
  4. We drew the Association of Perioperative Nurses for our September charity (I set aside 10% of my monthly earnings from Patreon and we draw randomly from a jar of charities compiled from community suggestions). If you’d like to add a charity suggestion to the jar, please leave that in a comment to this post. I am so happy to support nurses this month! 🏥

In the video, I share a haul of some advent calendars I purchased and another few that I’m on preorder/notification for the kids. ’Tis the season to get your advent calendars, if you’re into that sort of thing 🎄

I also share a bit about Winnie’s new wheelchair from Animal Ortho Care. This was the recommendation from Winnie’s vet specifically for her to use just outside for now. I include a little clip of Winnie’s first steps using it in the house (just yesterday!). We’re testing it outside as soon as I’m done writing this post. I’ll keep you posted on how it goes. Might also share on Instagram stories a bit if you follow me there. I’m hoping it helps her enjoy her walks more as that’s always her favorite time of day (well, second only to cookie time 😋). I just ask that you please be respectful about my sharing about Winnie and her health. I know you all will be, but sometimes you just have to say the thing, you know?

We all have our challenges that we face, most often privately. Know that though you may feel alone at times in your trials, you truly are never alone. May you find some relief and joy this week, wherever you are and whatever you’re going through.

❤️, Jen

Winnie is sooo cute in her new wheels and you are so sweat and tender with her! Wonderful to see and encouraging for all of us who might be in similar circumstances. Take care ❤️

Could you please add Book Trust to the jar! (Book Trust is a national early literacy nonprofit organization whose mission is to engage every child in book choice and ownership, cultivating literacy-rich communities. Book Trust’s vision is that every child, especially children from underserved communities, has access to books and discovers the joy and power of reading.)
