Friends, I came on to tell you my sob story about my failed video. And that it doesn't matter at all. Not at all. What I really wanted to share with you today is my grief, my despair, my hope, and my love. Let us not forget that we belong to each other. The tragedies that befall us every day are our tragedies. There is no *other* here. These are our people. We belong to each other.

Please be safe today, as much as you can be in our world. But please, please be safe to others in your words and in your actions. When we hurt others, we hurt ourselves. The only way out is through love.

We protect our Presidents with guns. We protect our Hollywood stars with guns. We protect our court houses with guns. We protect our federal buildings with guns. We protect our prisons with guns. We may even protect ourselves with guns. But we protect our most precious possessions, our children, with a sign that says “no guns beyond this point.” If the elected would stop sending BILLIONS of dollars to other countries, in which his son is on the board, and pay for two armed guards in every school in this nation, problem solved. Instead, not enough people did their home work on who they voted for and what that meant as a society. Prayers for peace.
