for me i enjoyed it for what it was worth. It makes so much sense when you think about clay and how he acted in season 7. I think season 9 is just rushed with storylines for 13 episodes, i personally think clay's shouldve been in s7 or s8 but i do like the storyline and i dont care for clay either but it sure suits his narrative and how he acted in s7
