God, I love Grey’s Anatomy!! I’ve been waiting for a reactor that I really like to watch Grey’s, so I was beyond stoked to see that you were starting it. I would say after season 10 it dips a bit but there are still decent episodes within seasons 11-19. But seasons 1-10 are just so fantastic and worth the watch. You get to learn the medical terminology and memorize the difference procedures throughout the show. It’s actually a running joke that if you watch a ton of GA, you now feel like a surgeon because you learn so much with every episode. Awesome reaction!

Most of the show is medically accurate and they use a lot of storylines that are based on real stories of patients

I feel like it's not medically accurate, but I'm only 10 minutes in. Maybe it gets better. Right now I'm like, why is a patient with seizures being Life Flighted in? Why isnt a neurologist her attending doctor instead of a general surgeon? Why is an intern taking the patient to CT instead of a transporter? Especially an intern who's on their first day. By the time she finds CT, the patient has missed her time slot and is going to have to wait. Why did the resident doctor tell Christina she was in charge of labs, and then say to get a CBC and a chem 7 when they had already gotten labs? She specifically said, "a large bore IV and don't let the blood hemolyze" so obviously they would have already gotten a rainbow of labs and it would be totally unnecessary to tell them to run the 2 most basic ones. Not to mention, a nurse would have put the IV in and gotten blood. I've been a nurse for almost 8 years and was a phlebotomist for 3 years before that, and I have *never* seen a doctor draw labs. Maybe I should try to focus on the romance story line but it's difficult to ignore the rest.

Also why on earth is there an entire room of people waiting at a hospital to get rectal exams?? I laughed about that one for a good few minutes 🤣

Kristin Carter

No no no, I can't do it. Meredith just shocked the patient while one of the nurses was touching her chest right next to the paddles, and yet miraculously didn't get electrocuted. I'm dying 😂😂

I meant that like the random cases where someone has a really rare disease or patient comes in with a fish in his penis - those weren’t made up, they made have been rare but they happened. Not that every detail is accurate. Just the fact that doctors were taking blood pressure, and doing everything for the patient, when a lot of that is typically done by nurses is not accurate
