Season 2 is such a strong season - I mean the whole show is strong in my opinion but Season 2 is my favourite I think. I can't wait for you to see it unfold, every time you speculate on what you think is going to happen it's so funny seeing what you guessed close and what is way off the mark hahaha

It makes sense that Randall would be so freaked out after that interaction with Deja. For multiple reasons. One being what he said, how he's not used to things actually being hard. He's used to figuring things out pretty quickly and this isn't like that and he knows it. But the stakes are pretty high here, because if they don't do well, a kid could end up even more damaged than she already is. But also, he's not used to people flinching away from him like that. He's used to being the guy people can depend on and he's the sensitive one who is just trustworthy, and anyone who knows him knows that he would never hit a kid. Then this kid, who is now living with them, flinched away from him and he knows this is gonna be even harder than he thought, because she doesn't yet feel he can be trusted, and she's scared of him. That just can't be easy, ya know? Having a kid flinch away from you out of fear of you hitting them. If that happened to me, I think I'd react the same way, maybe worse. (And it likely will, because I do plan to adopt one day...) It's just a tough situation for everyone and it takes some time to get used to having someone in the house with trauma they can't understand, trauma that makes it hard for her to let them in.
