I cannot watch this episode without bawling. It’s such a masterpiece, this show is incredible. I don’t know how they manage to do shit like this, it’s amazing. The actors in this episode were also playing the older versions of themselves - the old age makeup in this show is insane haha. There’s only a few instances where it’s not the same actor. William for example is played by a different younger actor but it still feels like him cause the casting is so good haha. I think they did that because they cast older William first (perfect casting) and they can’t really age people down so they had to find a younger version. That’s usually the only time they have different people playing the same character, when they cast the older version first. The fact that they can make us feel so sad and make such an impact with a character after only 16 episodes of knowing them is insaaanne. I cry or tear up in this show pretty much every episode hahaha but there are some episodes like this that I can’t get through without sobbing 🥲 Can’t wait to see the rest of this season and onward!

god, this episode. doesn't matter how many times i watch it, i cry every. single. time. it's in my top five favourite episodes of the entire series, no question. brilliant writing, acting, cinematography, directing. i'm pretty sure this was the epiosde that won sterling k brown his first emmy for this show, too.
