2023-02-01 00:33:01 also the basketball isn't for the show being a "sport" genre style, its more of symbolism. the way the writing is with expression and symbols and just good writing for characters showing their expressions through objects or hobbies. Like music and drawing is a form of expression for Peyton, basketball helps Nathan think and feel good about himself at something and it shows the toxicity that a sport can bring involving family, like dan basketball is like a form of aggression and control thats put on Nathan, the river court and books is an expression for Lucas to clear his mind and have perspectives on things in his life or in others. Point is lol that Im trying to make is the basketball for this show is a big part of it but not seen as like just a sports concept, it all has meaning to the character and how they are putting perspectives on the situations involving basketball.

Great reaction, but I got mostly hyped up for The Odyssey. That was one of my favorite books to read in high school.
