Yeah it is weaker than the earlier episodes of the season, but I enjoy this one for the comedy and it's clear the cast had fun with that one (lots of outtakes). Uther being besotted is just funny, love Anthony's face 😂 and Arthur's reaction to Uther flirting is the best!! So many gifs were made from this episode. And Sarah Parish is so funny each time she transitions from acting all ladylike to troll like 🤣 and the scene when Merlin tells Arthur she's a troll is just pure Merthur gold, I've lost count how many times I've used that clip in crack videos 😂. I'm excited to see you react to the next part 😁

I couldn't believe this story had 2 parts lmao!! But season 2 is so iconic!! Can't wait for the second part of the season!! Love your Merlin reactions as always

I remember watching this two parter for the first time when I was 10/11... it’s so memorable one of my absolute favourites! Although I feel like this is an episode you either love or hate, personally I think Merlin is at it’s best when it’s not taking itself too seriously - I love the humour. I think if it didn’t have the comic relief it would come across as a poorer imitation of other medieval shows (like GoT), but it’s very self aware and that makes it so unique which I love. Can’t wait for you to watch part 2!! :))
