Not every relationship has to be a season long will they won't they type deal. It's not like they just met he has worked for her father and they have known each other for a while. Plus they are 16, I mean when I was 16 if you kissed someone a few times and liked each other they considered themselves dating. A lot of shows make it seem like you have to have had a threesome and saved their life and been hanging out for months before making it official. Also Sarah said "Say it." When John B was trying to clarify what they were and then had that smug self satisfied look on her face when he said girlfriend. I feel like Sarah is the type that she has always had a boyfriend so once everything with Topper imploded she was all in with John B because the alternative is that she destroyed her relationship (yes with a prick) for a maybe something with John B. But truth be told that line about "Love just walking in" mad me want to laugh and then vomit. Cringey as hell.

haha wheezie mentioned before to topper that sarah cheated on all of her boyfriends so i kind of expected the whole “self-sabotage” trait. also they wouldn’t have been able to get the gold out anyway they were just trying to find it. It’s 400 million so it would be ridiculously heavy. the whole scene with the old lady wasn’t really necessary but it was kind of funny and added suspense i guess. i do agree that sarah and john b’s relationship happened way too fast but then again they are 16(don’t look like it tho). usually at 16 when you’ve kissed a few times and admitted to liking each other you start dating. the love thing was cringe but they are kids so i don’t think they really know the meaning of love anyway.
