I'm old enough to remember when this episode was originally broadcast. Over half an hour of American prime-time television without a word of dialog -- a ballsy move by Joss Whedon at the time.

A big part of the reason I signed up for the Patreon uncut versions, Joe, is because it's such a thrill to me to rewatch these with a commentary from someone who is totally unspoilt, who is reacting with the thrill I got when I first watched them 15 or so years ago. I made the mistake of watching this episode at night once and I remember it terrified me and I couldn't actually look at the screen when the monsters were on. I remember being blown away with how simple and clever the premise was first time I saw it. I've been waiting for this episode since you began.
