Everyone who sings on this show is actually singing, they actually used to go on tours and they would sing, they even have their on movie.

Most of the cast was chosen based on the fact that they were good singers (which is why the acting is kind of cringy sometimes). And some of them like Leah have broadway training. Some of them like Harry were cast because they were pro dancers. The actress who plays Brittany was one of Beyoncé’s backup dancers.

Most of these actors come from broadway like Rachel and Mr. Shue, some are professional dancers like Harry Shum Jr who danced backup for Beyoncé, JLo and Mariah Carey. After you finish the first half of this season I’ll have to link you their auditions for their roles bc their voices sound the exact same as they do on the show
