The funny thing about the pedo, Sandy Ryerson, is that when this episode first aired it didn't get very positive reviews, but there was the consistent review that Sandy was a saving grace of sorts and was seen as much funnier then than now haha. Mercedes does become much more likeable, even though she is a consistent black girl stereotype until season 2, but hey. Rachel will always be my least favorite character!

Honestly the characters are the best part about the show, people love them and it only expands with ever season (except s4 cause the new kids were annoying) you just have to give them a chance. S2 or at least the second half of s1 is like a pivotal moment of loving the characters

Also whoever said glee doesn’t get good till the 3rd season is so wrong, seasons 1,2,3 are the best seasons of glee s4 is the worst and the majority of the fandom pretend s5 and 6 don’t exist

Kurt is definitely a fan favorite, you’ll get to see more of him next episode. Rachel, in my opinion, never gets better. Also fun fact, in this episode when they had the two girls from the other group outside by the trash can, the girl who was holding the other ones hair while she was throwing up is Harry Shum Jrs wife! She’s in most of Vocal Adrenalines dance numbers in season 1

The characters are the kind you have to hate a little at first in order to love them later. They all really grow and the majority become great. There are still a couple that never change and stay endlessly annoying (Rachel) but I'm glad you guys are giving it a chance.

if you want a show that’s not another teen drama but isnt really serious either then watch greys anatomy. it’s so good!! you can just at least watch the first season which is 9 episodes since i know it’s a very long and ongoing show

The absolutely best part of this episode is that the Acafellas are *never* ever mentioned ever again, the entire subplot is completely axed, and everyone pretends it never actually happened. Quality writing and showrunning right there!

I agree that Rachel is really annoying to begin with and honestly some of her traits never go away (cause that's called having a personality) but in my opinion she definitely gets much MUCH better and becomes a character that I love and root for. I hope that you guys can form your own opinions based on the character development and such, I really hope you end up liking the show and watch more than one season cause there's really good stuff in later seasons.
