Definitely the best episode of season 1 imo and the Queen has arrived <3 Yue's sacrifice was too fast in my opinion. Maybe they were afraid to show it in more detail or anything

Zhao is dead he was captured by the ocean spirit and instead getting Zuko's help or admitting defeat he choose to die instead. Also actual wasn't shown that much because it's focus was supposed to be on how it affected the main characters and spirits. Aang had to fuse with the ocean spirit to save the day because he is the bridge between two worlds.

I think the purpose was to show that it was an unexpected sacrifice and that life may go by quickly. Plus these episodes are short so they only a certain amount of time to fill in all the details. Also Yue means moon in Chinese.

The sister was the girl in the flashback from Zuko's duel with the Fire Lord.

So now you know he has a sister, but her name has not been given yet. Now it will get a lot more deep and subtle in the next book. I guarantee you that it gets a whole lot more intelligent and mature. There really won't be much sillyness as in Book 1, but it's not gone. Basically in a nut shell, it's just going to get better and better. And also, we will be introduced to arguably the best character in the entire series, and I think us fans know who I'm talking about and that's all I'm going to say lol. HYPE!!!!!!!

Almost every episode for me in Book 2 and 3 is between 8-10 on the rating scale. His opinion on the show as whole, the characters, as well new characters will change. So may great characters to come and twists to see he'll love it!

Eh I think s2 and s3 are about the same in quality, both great for different reasons. I've seen some people who like s2 more, and others who like s3 more. But yes, s1 is great but with all the introductions done the ball really gets rolling :)

i prefer b2 because i feel like it went more in depth with characters and storylines, plus all of my favorite episodes are from b2. While b3 was more...idk, it's hard to explain without spoilers. I feel like it just dragged some things out a bit. but either way, that's not saying much cause both are GREAT seasons. I can't list my favorite characters since you haven't met two of them, but for now, by this time, mine were sokka then zuko then aang then katara.

Idk if you understood or not but when Aang was in the water and staring at the fish, that was the Ocean Spirit .. Aang merged w/ the ocean spirit thats why it was a giant fish such a badass scene with the music.And Yue is pretty important tbh she literally just became the moon,and oh yes a lot more intense battles to come and make sure you REALLY pay ATTENTION from here on out ,this shows attention to detail is impeccable..can't wait for seasons 2&3!! ur gonna be mind blown!!

One of my favourite moments in season one is in this episode, and it's when Zhao refuses Zuko's hand and is dragged into the ocean. It is the climax of his defining character trait, arrogance, that he would not let himself be saved by someone he thought below him, even if it meant his assured and immediate death. That look on his face conveyed so much in just a few frames of animation, with no words or explanations required. It sort of validated his character for me. Many of these villains are opportunists who act big when they have the advantage but crack under pressure. Not so Zhao. He stood his course and fell with it, and I actually sort of have to respect him for that. That was the moment when I first felt Avatar: the Last Airbender going from a really good show to something qualitatively different. This was definitely a children's cartoon, but this, I felt, was the first hint at what I'd like to call literary qualities. These characters weren't just playing out an entertaining and awesome narrative, they were carefully crated personalities that a viewer could be immersed and invested in and that could stand to be analysed and interpreted. I think those few frames of animation are what really, really sold me on Avatar.

Agreed, he needs to pay the f*** attention. He cannot afford to be missing little hints and he should probably talk a lot less and more focus on the show.
