There is still alot that has not been told about many characters backstories like Iroh and his son. So you didnt miss out on anything yet. the show is really good at revealing information at the proper moment.

Yes don't worry about feeling you missed something there's many histories and backstories the show has yet tell. It's one of the reasons why rewatching it after you finish the whole show works so well, you notice all the foreshadowing and details you missed before.

Agreed. It's not even really a filler or side story if you seen the series. It's more of a character build/story telling thing imo.

Yeah I'm pretty sure Sokka/Yue story is all for filler and has nothing to do with the core plot of the episode(s). [complimentary sarcasm] ;) I'm glad you're enjoying the series, I can tell you're getting more into it. But anyway, I can't believe we're already about to be in B2, now that is going to be something else.

I think he's letting his shipping thoughts between Suki and Sokka overcloud his thoughts about Yue. Don't get me wrong though I ship them too but, I also like Sokka and Yue.
