I have to comment on this ;-) First of all: Yeah, shadowhunters reaction one day earlier!!! Second: Wether you are a book reader or not - this episode is very important for Clary as a character. She´s never really been in contact with the clave and now she saw with her own eyes what they are capable of. Also remembering Jace didn´t want her to tell anyone about him coming back to life because of the clave? He knew excactly what she would facing there and wanted to protect her from that. So that didn´t work out as well - this might have a huge influence on Jace as well later on. Third: Clarys angelic powers also develope more and more and I´m really glad they introduced the necromancy rune with Valentine and not with three random soldiers like it was done in the books. Finally: The hole Clary arc to me was really important - it might seem less entertaining and feels like a waste of time but it really wasn´t. Just needed to point that out after seeing your reaction. ;-) LG Kate

So I actually agree with you. To me this is the weakest, I really didn't like the Clary storyline. At all. I liked the Simon stuff and liked Magnus but everything else was meh. I know its an unpopular opinion but here we are.

Simon's storyline was actually my favorite storyline in the WHOLE show. The acting was so amazing, i was honestly so heartbroken and actually cried during the scene. Alberto did a great job...and so did the actor that plays his mum. Plus, the sizzy really made me all fuzzy inside. I actually really loved Clary's storyline, but to each their own of course :)

The rune Clary made can only last a little while for one thing....and bringing him back was a way to find out what Lilith is up to...and now they know.

Yeah I really liked the Simon stuff despite hating having to see Heidi again. And yeah there was a lot of Clary and she has never been my favourite and all this aaagghhh sentenced to death stuff was a waste. Still love the episode for the Simon acting alone.
