Davina is actually a pretty good character, it takes a few episodes but you'll find out why she is the way she is and what her motivations are.

The actor plays Josh also played Ben, Emily's brief boyfriend in the beginning. Also Claire Holt (Rebekah) and Phoebe Tonkin (Haley) were both in the show H20 a show about three girls who turn mermaids. You were wondering if missed any scenes from TVD, you didn't. All scenes in every episode in The Originals are from that show only except for some of the scenes in the backdoor pilot episode 4x20.
