Omg I forgot how hard season 1 is to watch. I think it'd be actually good if Clary could act (she does eventually get better kinda like Scott in TW) and the special effects weren't crap. Just have to look past that and the cringy dialogue 😂

Loved this reaction. All I'm going to say is I just can't wait for you to get to episode 4 because to me, that's where it really starts kicking off. The pace and the characters start to feel a bit more genuine and the action picks up a ton. The side characters start to integrate more into the main plot as well. And from the 4th episode on, the characters get so much better. Ok, that's all I'm going to say

Magnus Bane (the warlock) seems like a side character now, but once episode 4 comes he's definitely a part of the story more. He's my favourite. Luke (the cop) is great too. You'll definitely start to feel more towards these characters as the season goes on. Clary is definitely the weakest in S1, she's very annoying. I feel bad because she lost her mom, but she has this thing where she thinks she's badass and she can do anything she wants and disobey all the shadowhunter rules without caring about the consequences. Izzy is great, she's gorgeous and she's brilliant moral support for Clary and Alec, my only problem is that she doesn't have much of a story yet (in the episodes you've watched). Alec is my second favourite in this show and a fan fave, he's very blunt and salty which I love. Alot of people don't like him much at the start because of his coldness and dislike towards Clary but I completely understand it. I'm glad you like him now though. Jace, while I always liked him, is just the typical white guy with the fuckboy attitude. But I promise his character becomes more than that. I'm sad you don't like Simon as much, I love him he's so cute and very pure hearted, he means well. But I get the whole dialogue thing, it can get very cringe. Hope you can get to watch more of these a week because episode 12 is definitely on of the best episodes and I really want you to watch it soon! 😂

But freeform treated the show so poorly in S1. For season 2 when freeform changed the show got new show runners. A new FX team (that have done Fx for films) and they got rid of half the writers room and replaced them and made changes to things from season one like added and changed sets and everything is just better in general. Now it’s my favourite show of all time ( reign & game of Thrones & once Upon a time as close seconds ) I’m glad you’re actually giving it a go and powering through s1 😂 it’s not that bad. But still.

Ugh... so disappointed when you said you already watched TVD and won't be reacting to it. I agree, it would have been a really good show to react to. Seeing you react to Damon... that would have been amazing.
