I agree that this was the best first episode of any season. And the whole season is great, despite what some might say. But that's the frustrating thing: Skam was getting better and better----and then it just ended! It was like the show really found it's stride, and then just....went away.

i still love the season, i just prefer season 2 and 3. But i love every season lol. So, it's not like it's bad, i just happen to prefer Noora and Isak's stories, but Sana had a beautiful story too.

I'm almost ashamed to put my mark on these subtitles since it's just a rough re-format, there's still tons of timing and fitting issues, but the language doesn't make me want to claw my eyes out at least. :-) But it's a good episode, and of course it's one of the better season openers, because almost all the characters are established at this point, so you get a lot of recognition and happiness just at seeing them. Compare to the season 1 open which is one big "Who the fuck is this Jonas dude and why is he such a douche, and that Isak kid is annoying, and who is Eva and why is she so sad?"

Think of how hard Season one was for us non-Norwegians! Subtitles are one thing, but Skam often had multiple subtitles going on, with the texts and dialogue. And then we were wondering: "What the fuck is a russ--and when they talk about buying a "bus"-- do they mean an actual BUS!?" Plus where I'm from a "third year" would mean someone in the third grade, so about ten years old, so I was confused about that for second. LOL! But I figured things out pretty quickly. And as the reactor Noah Co said, the Skam fandom is amazing. The Norwegian fans were so generous and quick to help the rest of us out.

Love this <3 Thanks again. A couple of things: when Sana came out of the bathroom, she was clean and ready to pray. We could see one girl caugh and touch Sanas arm, and the people in the hallway were talking about someone having sex all night Oh, the contrasts. And also, when Sana texts her brother, vilde goes on about the girls going to France, maybe just lay on the beach all day. What she probably doesn't know is the ban of burkinis in France for a while. I just think it is so frickin well done how all these small suble things are included. And show how Sana is excluded (like the pizza, sex talk, alcohol) If you checked out the extras (chats etc.) you would see it there as well.
