A comment on what you talked about in the intro. You absolutely should react to American Skam, so exited for it, actually. Julie Andem, who wrote and directed the original will be the show runner, which gives me great faith. Shame will be great. Now, off to watch the rest.

That last scene was absolutely beautiful. That was my reaction to it too. Just tears and no words. Thank you, Joe.

I just wanna come and give you a hug. Thank you so much for this, I loved it. Julie Andem said that when seaching for christmas music to the finale of season one, She decided to use this song for the turning point scene in season 3, that would include religion, mental illness and a homosexual love story. Nils Bech singing is a friend of her ❤️

We've all been there <3 There's a reason that final scene won an award!

Thanks for this, Joe. You've made all our Christmas a lot better!

thanks for the christmas present! I am so surprised that you cried. Idk i haven't seen you truly cry in any reaction, so i just thought you wouldn't have. I honestly was so cared Even committed suicide because his text to isak just ... scared me. It felt like a goodbye. And btw, he was acting that way because his mum is manic and since she's 'crazy' and he's seen her have episodes, he thinks all people who have mental illnesses are like that and it scares him.

Tarjei, who plays Isak, is a fucking phenomenal actor. I personally think he's the best actor on the show. Maybe best actor I've seen in a long time, considering he was only seventeen here. He literally makes me wanna grab Isak through the screen and hold him and protect him from all sad things.

I got away descreetly to watch and this was amazing! I’m sending you a Christmas hug and a thank you! I lost it when they cut from Isak’s memory to Even not sitting on the bench. I can’t describe how well made the last scene is, it really is perfect in every aspect. I softly cried now too. Julie Andem always knew Isak would be the third season’s main and when she searched for Christmas songs during season 1 she heard a version of O Helga Natt and had this vision of Isak in a church and knew this would be the turning point. Such an incredible moment and pure magic, and just four words spoken “du er ikke alene” which has comforted me many times. You can tell by the script that Julie had season 3 planned down to a T in her head all along, and it’s even more amazing when you think back on Isak’s development, with himself and the accepting of mental illnes and religion because of his horrible experiences with his mom, his dad leaving his 16 year old to care for her, resulting in Isak fleeing and living in a basement. So while watching season 1 again, seeing Jonas telling Eva that Isak’s dad left and that his mom snapped, I always think back to this episode and think “you’ll come strong out of this, Isak”. It’s also comforting to know that Even (and Magnus) was of the original 9 to get a season. Isak just had to hold on for a little while longer for the universe to fall into place and for Even to find him, for Isak to end up where he does: accepting himself and others for who they are. I can talk all day about Isak and his journey, and I’ll always feel the same, as well with O Helga Natt <3 This was really beautiful. Takk, Joe!

That last clip won awards in Norway in a year were several other norwegian shows were rated really high. Tarjai (isak) was also nominated for best actor as a 17 year old, up against men who were twice his age! To think that a low budget show could outmatch all others is so crazy, but I love it.

When I wrote this I hadn't seen your reaction. But now I have and it was absolutely beautiful. Made me tear up again, just like I did when I saw this episode for the first time. So thanks again Joe, I was really moved.♥

If you ever rewatch season 3 and also maybe with all the extras (sms, chat etc), you can try to country all the times mirror Numbers were usedvanlig: 11:11, 15:15-01:01, 21:21 and many more. Even is his mirror, he is his «other half», he sees himself in him, in his love for him. Like their matching outfits when they look at each other through the window. IT light have been me who Asker you to look out for the number 21:21. When Isak kissed Even under water he was reborn , as his true and honest self. And he actually WAS born at 21:21. It’s beautiful. The text from his Moum gets me every time

Yes Nils *Bech*, an old friend of hers, who also happens to be her ex, who’s current partner’s last name is *Næsheim*. If that’s not a declaration of love, I don’t know what is. Still blows my mind! ❤️

Thank you for this wonderful Christmas present Joe, it was beautiful to watch and I think you’re so brave to show that vulnerability and share that moment with all of us. Thank you ❤️ This episode still makes me tear up every goddamn time, even the bit about Magnus telling Isak about bipolar disorder (putting him in his place, really) still gets me. And that final scene is just pure art. Btw, Julie Andem has confirmed that it was in fact a suicide note (there was some debate about that) and that Even was going to kill himself, but Isak saved him (right back) ❤️

What Julie said about Evens text is that she wanted People to think that it could be a suicide text.
