okay so like the reason people, even leading up to this episode, shipped them isn't really about romantic moments. It's about how Stiles treated Lydia right. Like, he's the only guy that ever treated her properly and loves her for HER. Like he's the only one who knows she's more than a pretty face and he's there for her no matter what. It isn't till now that Lydia really opened her eyes to that. Their dance was so cute, his pining after her and never giving up is adorable, him protecting her always is so sweet. I could go on. Stydia is like, the realest ship on the show in every season imo. They don't NEED romantic moments because the small things are what make them realistic and beautiful. No huge gestures and dramatic scenes; just refreshing sweet moments between a guy and his crush. I ship them too much ignore me lol.

Signe (Seena) Stewart

I'm with Angie. Their journey is what makes the ship. Like, Allison and Scott met and instantly fell in love. But with Stiles and Lydia there's moments and true friendship building underneath the romantic emotions. And they just make such a great team. Stiles' little speech in the dance episode s1 was the first time Lydia had heard someone refer to HER, not the facade she put up. And their bond has only grown from there. Even his infatuation takes a backseat to his friendship with her. Which I appreciate. It stops being about one person being totally into someone and just becomes about the bond they actually share

2021-08-02 17:44:03 The interesting thing about the kissing scene is that it would supposed to play much differently than how it actually ended up. Apparently Jeff Davis wasn't on set that day, so O'Brien & Roden took a chance on how they felt it should go. Davis saw the dailies and was like "oh, yup, that's it". I want to say that this episode was the one where the two of them also did a wee bit of camera work and direction, because it's mentioned in some interviews and bts photos show both of them shouldering cameras & speaking to crew.
