Everyone has different favorite characters and seasons it seems. I predict season 1 will rank high on your list, although it's quite often ranked low. Doesn't mean the other seasons are bad or week in anyway really. All seasons have been declared favorite by someone at some point. Same goes for the characters pretty much. Season 2 is quite heavy and slow but it serves a purpose. Just push through ❤️

It's all down to how much you as the viewer can relate to the "shame" being adressed with each character. It's all top quality it just caters to different needs.

Ok. Technically season 4 is the weakest. Especially if you don't speak the language. It requiers a lot of pausing and reading and there is additional material in a much greater extent than before, mainly youtube clips. And it's kinda tasking to decipher it all and piece it all together. But I'm more than content over the final product. The sum is greater then it's parts.

Yes, you are correct in that Eva is lying to Isak about being back together with Jonas, it's not something that happened off-screen. That scene is one of my favourites in this season, because it's the (in my opinion) two best actors in the show who get a great scene together. Both of them are lying, both of them are hiding their thoughts. Eva is barely concealing her anger, but is all smiles and smalltalk as she tries to force Isak to come clean. She gives him plenty of opportunity, and he just dodges. And when she finally forces the issue, but Isak flips it back on her, her anger just disappears as she becomes insecure and feels sorry for Isak. And Isak just keeps on lying. He says it's probably going to go ok with his parents, he puts on a brave smile, but he doesn't even believe his own lie, his face just falls. And every time he lies to Eva, he looks away, because he feels bad for lying to her. Only at the end of the conversation does he speak his heart. He really didn't mean for Eva to get assaulted by Iben, Chris' girlfriend. And when he begs Eva not to tell Jonas, he's genuinely scared, because that would ruin his friendship with Jonas.
