Xyla is a Minotaur from a tribe. There are a lot of monster girl tribes that form communities in the wilderness. Keke, the Werewolf Girl, is also from one such of these tribes. They're typically monospecies tribes and this pattern has emerged as both a desire to continue their species, and an indication of their success in many cases. The Minotaur tribe is actually more accurately a tribe of many 'strong women' type, including Amazonians, Minotaurs, Oni, Cyclops and other 'Taurs ; they all value strength highly and are brought together with the goal of gaining strength through training, combat and selective breeding with an Alpha Female system.

It's not uncommon for these tribes to have a more aggressive stance on males, capturing them and such. Fortunately for the males, they often have such good experiences that they don't even want to go back home afterwards. Could that be said of the Strong-Woman tribe? Who knows, you'd have to ask the leader of the tribe 'Snu-Snu'.
