Each year as winter solstice draws near, the townsfolks gather at the ancient, hallowed stones deep in the woods. For several nights they feast, sing, and dance in what they call the Festival of Light. It is a time of celebration and rebirth!

The elders gather by the fires and tell the ancient tales of “the long night” when darkness grips the earth and evil enters the world. Gathered at the sacred stones, protected by fire and steel, they would hold the terrors in the night at bay as they awaited the coming dawn. It was a time of fear and death.

Stay in the light for evil lurks in the darkness.
