Rinka and the Knights
Rinka’s Point of View
I occasionally run errands for Rosarin-chan in the Knights' Order.

"Rinka-chan, hello."

"Hello."

"Here, this is for you."

Everyone is so friendly here. Unlike the Magic Academy, there are no foreign substances or traps. It's wonderful to experience something normal! I received some lovely cookies.

"Here's something in return."

Lately, I've been getting a lot of sweets when I visit the Knights' Order, so I carry gifts with me.

"Thank you! The ones from the other day were delicious."

I've started exchanging sweets with the Knights I was acquainted with.

"It’s my pleasure. Today's batch is my special creation."

"I'm looking forward to it. See you later."

As I walked a bit further, I ran into another Knight.

"Oh, Rinka-san! Thank you for your help the other day! Please take this if you like!"

"Don't worry about it. We help each other when needed."

I received some lovely cookies from the Knight who had been caught in a trap at the Magic Academy the other day. The wrapping was elaborate, and it made me happy.

"Oh, Rinka-chan. Big bro wants to give you some candy."

"Yay, thank you!"

It was like a caramel candy. Sweet and delicious.

"Rinka-chan, Uncle has some snacks for you."

"Yay!"

I received a muffin from the head chef. I'll enjoy it later.

"I've got a delivery for you."

I handed the documents to Dober-san, who looked like a Chihuahua. Job done!

"Good job, Rinka-san. Those baked goo—”I will gladly take them!”

Jash-san gave me some baked goods! They were delicious, just as good as Rosarin-chan's treats!

"Well then, here you go."

"Yayyipee~! Tomorrow, I'll brag about it to Jend and the others when we go to the dungeon."

"In that case, for Jend and the others..."

"No, that's not happening. It's a good excuse to go home. Jend and the others are working too hard."

With a smirk, Jash-san gave a wry smile.

"You're right. Can you send them home?"

"Of course! The reward is these pastries."

"Fufu, thank you."

He laughed gently, and it was a pleasant atmosphere. When I giggled, there was a loud noise.

A crashing sound... It was as if something broke or shattered, an incredibly loud noise!

"Huh?"

"It's okay, Rinka-san."

"Yeah, I'll go discipline them. Thanks for the delivery."

Jash-san patted my head and leaped out of the window as if it were nothing.

"We're on the third floor!?"

However, Jash-san landed gracefully like a cat and dashed away as if nothing happened. Amazing.

"I-I'm going too! Tsu-san!"

I straddled Tsu-san and invoked magic from, flying away like a witch's broom.

"It's so high! Super scary!"

Even though I did it myself, it was terrifying. I finally reached the ground and breathed a sigh of relief, but it seemed there was a fight going on. Huh? One of them was the Knight who had given me the beautifully wrapped sweets earlier. The Knights were going wild, and the surroundings were a mess. It seems the commotion earlier was caused by their fighting.

"Jash-san, why are those Knights fighting?"

"I gues that cute little cat is the reason. It's perfect timing that you came."

For some reason, I felt a sinister undertone in Jash-san's smile.

"Wouldn't you prefer gentlemen who can resolve things through civilized discussion rather than brutish fellows who resort to fighting, Rinka-san?"

"Huh? Yeah, that's for sure."

Well, if conflicts can be resolved through conversation rather than fighting, that's better.

And for some reason, the Knights who were fighting froze.

"Well, how long do you plan on showing Rinka-san such an ugly brawl? Hurry up and settle it and get back to work! Rinka-san, what do you think of men who are devoted to their work?”

Suddenly, I remembered Lavi-kun, who works diligently on his documents.

"… I think those kinds of men are wonderful."

"Funuooooohh!!"

"Uriyaaaaaah!!"

"Fueh!?"

The Knights all began cleaning up and started training simultaneously.

"Thanks to you, Rinka-san, we were able to settle things quickly. Thank you."

"Huh? Uh, yes? That's good then."

I didn't quite understand, but he told me to go home early because we're going to the dungeon tomorrow, so I left.

That's what happened today. When I told Lavi-kun about it, he frowned. Lavi-kun looked like a bird-like spirit today, borrowing a bird-like appearance with wings.

"Show me the sweets you received."

"Yes."

There was a message card inside that said, 'Please be my friend.' I thought I was already friends with the Knight who gave them to me...

"Rinka."

"Yes."

"Try not to go to the Knights' Order as much as possible."

"... Okay?"

"As much as possible, don't go to the Knights' Order."

Lavi-kun was very serious.

"... Alright. But why..."

"... Just don't go. No, please don't go."

Lavi-kun had a sad expression.

"Understood."

I didn't understand what was going on, but if Lavi-kun looked sad, I wouldn't go.

However, since I didn't know why Lavi-kun had that sad expression, I also consulted Rosarin-chan when I told her I couldn't run errands for the Knights' Order anymore.

Rosarin-chan sighed heavily.

"You're so dense."

"... Rosarin-chan... or rather, I don't want to hear that from you."

I'm not that oblivious... probably.
