Living as a Person
"Princess, please lift your face."

The calm voice of Mikumo resounded.

"Congratulations on your marriage."
"Thank you."

Otoha raised her head and smiled. She's beautiful again today!

"Congratulations on your marriage."

Himari murmured softly.

"Thank you. I'm sorry for not having you around, Himari. But we had a private ceremony, so we didn't invite many relatives. Oh, but Lady Himiko was there."

"Oh~ did my Mother intruded on her own again?"

Otoha chuckled.

"Your Highness, we're leaving."

Hitachimaru's voice came as I boarded the armored vehicle. Sitting next to me, Hiiro asked, "What's wrong?"

"You're supposed to ride over there."

Where I was supposed to sit was the loading area.

"That's for luggage, not for people."

As I looked up in confusion, Hiiro patted my head.

"Since you've become a person, you should sit over here."

Right, I'm not a weapon anymore. It's a relief that my butt won't hurt.

As I enjoyed the feeling of the seat, I noticed Otoha and Mikumo sitting across from me, furrowing their brows and shaking their heads disapprovingly.

"I'll ask for an escort."
"Leave it to me."

Mikumo nodded at Hiiro's words.

Just as we were about to depart, Hirosue and Murakano ran up together.

"Your Highness! Please let us ride at least halfway!"

Hirosue blushed as he tried to hold Murakano's hand, and Murakano squeezed hers tighter.

"We want to go to the Izumimonin residence. I'm getting my provisional license from Master."

Otoha's face lit up with a smile.

"Hirosue?"
"Yes, Your Highness. We-we got married."

Otoha squealed with joy.

"Congratulations, Murakano. Huh? Eh? You got married already? When did you propose? I've been waiting for you to get your cooking license forever."
"Um, just a moment ago. I, um..."
"Never mind that, just get in."

Hiiro interrupted and urged them. Murakano kept blushing and looking down.

"It's okay to ride partway."
"Yes. Once we leave the Royal Castle, we will get onto a wagon.”
"Also, pick up a ring while you're at it."
"W-Well, umm, that's..."

Hirosue blushed even more.

"When are you planning to do that? It has to be today. Hirosue, you tend to forget things once you start thinking about cooking. Oh, I want to go with you so badly."

Otoha's cheerful voice echoed in the car. I really like that voice. Everyone was smiling.

"You can go over there."

Hiiro's words made Otoha startle.

"... Saying a friend's wedding is more important than the day my hometown disappears, I must not be a human.”

Not a human? No way.

"This is where people sit."
