About the fact that it wasn't a chore at all.
Ditz’s Point of View

The new master was a bit surprising at times, but overall, she was quite easygoing.

Compared to the previous master, it was like night and day. She was fundamentally sound, so as long as I supported her with the finer points of etiquette, there were no problems at all. Plus, she was relatively serious and intelligent. There was no violence, and she even allowed me to use my free time as I pleased. I even had the luxury of studying and reading. And to top it off, there were snacks included. It was fantastic. She even started giving me souvenirs when I secretly took some home. My family was delighted that I no longer came home with bruises.

But, the new master wasn't all sunshine and rainbows... I would come to learn that later.

"Aha, I got found out."

Rinka-sama was drenched. It seems she was targeted while Lavita-sama wasn't around. I hastily handed her a towel I happened to have, but this wouldn't be enough to fix the situation. I pondered what to do about her change of clothes.

In front of me were the noble children, snickering. They must have been the ones behind it. Ah, that girl was the one who refused to serve. So, was Rinka-sama harassed because of me...? Feeling angry, I noticed something odd about Rinka-sama's demeanor.

"... Fufufu."

Rinka-sama was laughing, but…

Upon closer inspection, her eyes weren't laughing. A shiver ran down my spine.

Quickly drying herself with magic, she stared straight at those girls and smiled.

"You're my enemies. Look forward to my retaliation."

"!?"

"Huh!?"

"Eh!?"

"When you do something to someone, you should be prepared to receive it back, right?"

And indeed, Rinka-sama probably did retaliate as she declared.

One of them seemed to have been targeted while going to the restroom. Moreover, that noble girl had no maidservant, only a valet. And her spare clothes were shredded. It seems she had no choice but to go home soaking wet.

Another one fell into a pit trap while walking. The pit turned out to be a pond, and although there was a maidservant, she couldn't pull her out alone. She cried while waiting for help to arrive.

The last one was chased by a hand golem and a torso golem that emerged from a desk, only to be doused with water in the end. And it came from the golem's mouth. It was quite gruesome.

By the way, the noble girl who suffered the most was the ringleader who soaked Rinka-sama.

However, I said "probably" because there was no evidence. No witnesses for the soaking in the restroom, and the golems disappeared.

But considering that all of them ended up soaking wet... it seemed likely that Rinka-sama was the culprit.

Naturally, Rinka-sama was accused by the young ladies, but she calmly responded.

"How about it? You did something to me, so you think it’s my doing? I have no obligation to admit it, and frankly, serves you right."

Hmm. Rinka-sama has a nasty personality. But what she said makes sense. If you don't want retaliation, then don't do it in the first place. It's as simple as that.

When the girls who tried to badmouth Rinka-sama attempted to spread rumors, a relatively quiet community of noble girls called the Women's Alliance went all out to stop them. Apparently, Rinka-sama is a preacher of Moe.

The hell is Moe? And those who tried to discredit Rinka-sama eventually found themselves isolated.

Furthermore, rumors spread that if you lay a hand on Rinka-sama, you'll receive multiple times the retaliation, and no one dared to mess with her anymore.

The girls who had provoked her, being resented by many others, ended up receiving harassment from other noble girls.

"Um, was it really Rinka-sama who did all that in the beginning?"

When the heat died down, I secretly asked Rinka-sama.

"Oh, the first two weren't me, they were the spirits. Only the last one was me. Ah, just so you know, I have the protection of the Spirit Kings. That's why the other spirits got angry."

"Could it be that their belongings are disappearing because..."

"Half spirits, half humans, you could say."

"I see..."

So, she only retaliated a little herself, and the rest was the spirits' doing. However, it's terrifying that spirits would autonomously engage in harassment. It would make them enemies of all nature. I vowed to myself to never anger Rinka-sama.

But then again, Rinka-sama wouldn't harm others unless provoked, so it's not a problem. She's actually a good master who cares about others.

I just wish she'd consult before doing something wrong. I practically begged for it. And later on, I realized it was the right thing to do.

By the way, when I reported the incident to Rosarin-sama, she reminisced fondly.

"Oh, that's nostalgic~ I remember when she got called out by the principal for pulling off his wig and had to apologize."

"... Is that so?”

Realizing that correcting Rinka-sama's behavior was impossible with her series of unusual plays, I gave up.

By the way, Rosarin-sama is supposed to be younger than Rinka-sama... but I refrained from poking into that further, lest I unleash a storm.

Watase Rinka... My master doesn't show any mercy to enemies.

"About this plan..."

"Rejected! Let's discuss it! I'll figure something out!!"

"Oh well, it was definitely the right choice to recruit Ditz-kun."

"... Yeah."

Rosarin-sama and Lavita-sama acted like it's none of their business. Can't you help convince her?

And so, Rinka-sama, who is surprisingly diligent, always reports to me before messing up, so I end up helping, persuading, persuading, persuading, and persuading... Rinka-sama surprisingly has a hot temper.

In a way, she might be more troublesome than the son of the Duke Carlisle’s son.
But the most troublesome thing might be that despite all the trouble, I don't feel like quitting as Rinka-sama's attendant at all.
