That's way too much overtime in one week. Except the two of us seem to end up doing it every week, don't we? We spend our weeknights sleeping in the barracks deep underground here, and only go back to our real homes on the weekend.

Which is what it is now. We just need to shower off the coal dust down here, then take the elevator up, take the shuttle bus into town, and then we are free to do whatever we want.

<sigh> But what I want right now is a shower. A long shower, and not the short ones our badges unlock for us.

Except... I might know a way around that. If you can scan two different badges in a row, the time stacks. Then before all of that time has run out, the first badge can be scanned again. An enterprising girl with access to two badges could theoretically shower as long as she wants.
