My boyfriend and I argue every year about when to put up the tree. He always wants to do it the week of Thanksgiving but I want to enjoy it after all the leftovers are done with and cleared away. I won this year and we are getting the decorations out today! It's the start of Advent Joy.

What a lovely start to Advent with our very own Patreon advent vlog. Maybe I'm starting to get in the festive mood. I actually went to a Xmas wreath making workshop yesterday...It's now on my front door. The Xmas tree could do with standing in water. Here in the UK there is a metal stand that has a reservoir and the trunk is clamped into it thereby staying hydrated. Advent here we come xxx

Due to Covid & other things it's going to be a quiet Christmas for us this year so I wasn't going to bother decorating or getting a tree (ALWAYS a real one chez nous !). Dear Stephanie, it's annoying, you promised so many times to make a proper update at EACH beginning of a month. I can't understand why you keep delaying it. So many patreon goals are not finished, at least give an update please. And please finish them, I am sure other patreon would like to see the goals they contributed towards finally done. Stephanie, I appreciate all of the hard work you and your's put into making content and I understand how at times that can be very difficult. I hope the other patrons understand that balancing real life with "dream goals" is tricky and sometimes things just don't happen as quickly as some folks would like. It is a massive undertaking you have in front of you and I understand that some projects have to be shifted or paused until everything works together. So again, thank you for your grace and sharing with us, which is something you don't have to do at all!

Bonsoir Stéphanie & Philip, I've just binged watched 5 of your videos (2 on youtube & 3 on the patreon account) & since watching the one with Oliver I was thinking about your future merchandise. I hope you've decided to sell an advent calendar. It could be in the shape of Lalande with opening shutters & Lalanders behind each shutter. Perhaps you could put little santons as presents or traditional French Christmas sweets (les douze desserts de noël) such as calissons d’Aix, nougat, candied melon etc..... Btw, can't wait until next year when you'll be able to have a midnight Mass in your own chapelle !!!!!! Love to you all xxxxx

I just watched the first Advent video, and had to come here to say how very lovely it was to see Stephanie's face all lit up with the joy of adding a representation of her father to the nativity! She brings so much joy to so many of us all over the world, so to see her surprised by joy in that way --I can't think of a better way to start Advent. That was one the most aesthetically pleasing videos you've ever made! The Winter Salon is perfect for Christmas. Every time I see candles near that feathered hat it worries me lol. I think an amber crystal chandelier would look great if you ever decided to retire the billiard light.

It has come to my attention that the hate site has also managed to illegally share these vimeo videos (to be clear, not a follower of that despicable site, just sometimes checking in to see what they are plotting). Whilst I don´t have any problems yet with vimeo (it is even better quality than youtube for me), it seems like a better idea to switch back to Youtube due to the problems other Patrons face?

The level of exuberance this year tops the other two Advents. I liked them very well, but I enjoy the element of raucous frivolity this year. Just a note - if more is more, should not the statue with the pink-feathered hat have a new topper for the season? A Scandi-minimal room might work in Narnia!

I'm really enjoying the Advent Vlogs - but I enjoyed the previous two years also! I'm also sharing a note of warning from another YouTube vlogger - if someone who has more direct access to Stephanie, Nattie or Philip could please share this with them, it might spare some sort of YouTube disaster. There are some YouTube hackers/pirates/whatever operating right now that are "stealing" YouTube accounts and holding them hostage. Apparently several channels with many subscribers (1M+) have fallen prey and I'd hate to see Stephanie's channels (or any of the other chateau channels) suffer the same. I watch "Curiosity Inc" and on today's Vlog he discussed how he was one mouse-click away from being victimized. I Love Christmas! My father instilled in me my love of decorating for Christmas and the Christmas spirit.Christmas at LaLande with all of you well that is Christmas perfection.! I guess it's just us that put our cut trees in water. It really does help them last longer. I put mine up the first weekend of December and just yesterday dragged it into my front yard. It's still green and looks like I have a tree growing in my yard.
