Another Attempt at the Dawn Chorus! (Patreon)

I think I've finally managed to find a way to share the sound with you. I've uploaded the track to a Soundcloud account, and this should act as a private link to it. Let me know if it works! And also, if you enjoy it, do you think that I should try to make a better recording with a proper microphone? This was only recorded (accidentally!) on my iPhone.

It works..beautiful!!!!! but I think the birds around my house are confused now. I dont think they speak french...lol.

Thank you! I think the recording sounds just fine (from what I can hear so far). I don’t think you need bother with any fancy recording device besides the phone.

By the way - the full recording was eight hours, from frogs to birds. This is just the last hour or so, but I haven't had a chance to listen to it all the way through - please let me know if there's anything embarrassing half way through! Mummy shouting at me because I'm not up yet is always a real possibility in an early morning recording!

Oh my goodness it sounds just so beautiful!!!!!! Wow I think I have about 17 birds who are regulars in my own garden and they make me so happy; but your garden fullllllllll of birds puts mine to shame! (DONT tell my birds I said that cos I really do love them!!!)

I hear the spring peepers as I would call them. An owl and is that a woodpecker? So nice not to have traffic sounds.

It works! Beautiful birdsong. Image with soundtrack a little odd, though. I was expecting birds or scenic landscape, but I got wild party girl instead!

I better explain to everyone - I didn't realise that it would come up with my Soundcloud profile image! It's not me being a wild party girl, it's me singing the lead role in Poulenc's 'Les Mamelles de Tiresias' - half way through the opera I transform into a man, which is why I'm wearing detachable breasts! I used to use Soundcloud for my singing, which is why this was my profile photo. I realise that, taken out of context, it looks quite dodgy ;)

Stephanie.....I listened to this in its entirety while working from home and I imagine I'll be doing that quite often! It was just LOVELY!!!! This is lovely and noticeably different to the morning chorus I am treated to in New Zealand. In particular, the complex vocals of the tūI - a mix of delicately tuneful and, what sounds like, wheezing and grunting. 😊 It’s wonderful to hear such sweet French trilling. Thank you for sharing!

Today I have had your birdsong chorus playing repeatedly while I read a student's chapter, answered emails, had a couple of Zoom meetings (only I could hear it!), and continued to work at home. It's been restful and soothing and just lovely. I know the frogs must be noisy and distracting, but I have really enjoyed them! Thank you for your generosity.

This is delightful! I don't hear many birds here in suburban Memphis, Tn. This reminds be of growing up on a bayou in Louisiana without air conditioning. I love the birds and can't wait to hear the peepers and bull frogs. Your vlogs bring me so much joy. Love and hugs!

Thank you so much for taking the trouble to post this. At present I’m trying to rehabilitate my right hand after breaking my radius on 5 March. It’s rather sore and the birdsongs helps to relax and keep me positive as it’s rather frustrating not being able to draw and paint xx😘

Truly beautiful but I really enjoy the sounds of the noisy woodpecker (which I vaguely remember was on Kings Day. I loved the way you rise to the occasion to replicate everything that is required to host a wonderful feast (even if you haven’t tried the recipes before!). Well done you 🥳
