This song is a 2 phase boss fight in the game Limbus Company. Phase 1 of the boss fight is against what is essentially a cult/crusade leader who is a strong manipulator, the second phase is her as she is starting to 'ascend' to 'godhood' and becomes a large fleshy monster that is almost unkillable. The song also doubles as the boss this theme is for is closely connected to one of the protagonists and is trying to either convert or corrupt him to her side or kill him, I'm still a bit unsure. It was a very tough boss fight that the game devs eventually made much easier, but that has nothing to do with the song. The biggest piece of context I can give is that Limbus Company and Library of Ruina are both set in a setting called "The City" where violence, murder, cannibalism, and worse are all common every day things, and Project Moon managed to get Mili to make music for them, Mili having a long history of songs with unsettling lyrics or existential meaning. The combination of the two (Mili and PM) is quite fascinating and has been a great time for someone like me who likes the kind of horror that makes you think, as opposed to just jump scares. Sorry for the long ramble, my poorly explained context is done now, returning to Lurker Mode.
