Lone Trail Spoilers below, and sorry for my run-on sentences. This song is from the perspective of the main Antagonist of Lone Trail, and probably the greatest Pioneer and scientist in all of Terra, Kristen Wright, one of the co-founders of Rhine Labs. There is another song that exists that revolves around her (Moreso her relation to the others in the start of this song), though from a different character's perspective; Blues with You, which you reacted to in May of last year, though it does have a music video with visuals that I do not know if you saw or not, but anyways, back to this song. Kristen has always had an obsession with the skies over Terra, ever since her parents, the Wrights, died while testing a prototype aircraft. The skies over Terra have a height limit, as they are not real. Anything that goes to high hits it and usually dies. Kristen made it her life's goal to break through that barrier, to see what lies beyond the false sky. It is what she never let go of, the desire for the truth. This desire, this obsession, led her to, over time, push aside all of her coworkers and friends in favor of her goal, to break the sky open. By the end of Lone Trail, she succeeds, she launches Terra's first ever space launch, and as the sole passenger on a one way trip broke through the barrier and revealed the true sky to all of Terra on her way to the stars, accompanied only by her self made cryo-pod. We have no idea if she is alive or not at this point, but she is floating in a mostly powerless spaceship out in the void at this point. Her actions shook the world of Terra, and set many things into motion. She herself did not particularly care about that though, she did it, she managed to touch the sky. Sorry for the rambling. Edit: Just wanted to add, that Kristen Wright is also full of references herself, her name is inspired by the Wright Brothers (Flight) and Sally Kristen Ride (First American Woman in Space), and her animal is a Golden Retriever, a Dog, and Laika the space dog was one of the first animals ever launched into space, and the first animal to orbit Earth after a one way launch.
