EZAnime digs into the weird, wonderful, and hilariously violent world of JoJo.

Just a few quick notes: I didn't have time to include clips for this episode (GDC!), but I'll put them in for part two of the JoJo discussion. Yes, that's right, we'll be talking more JoJo soon with Kyle and Brandon likely involved. It will be counted as a bonus episode, which means there will still be a regular patron-voted episode that premieres March 31.

Second, I know many of you want EZAnime as a podcast and I'm still working on it. I hope to have both this episode and the Berserk episode in podcast form by the time the third episode is ready. Finally, I know we didn't say much about Diamond is Unbreakable. Expect more thorough talk about that arc in part two of our JoJo discussion.

Gotta say even though I appreciate the effort with avoiding spoilers for the first part I feel like it has hurt the conversation. The first half of the video felt really fragmented and it felt like you were poking at different aspects of the series without actually making any point about them. Also, I really missed the level and quality of the production you put with Berserk, with the anime clips giving rhythm and making the conversation much more immersive and structured. Since you already said we are going to get a part 2 I hope you have time to make adjustments and figure out the best way to provide these conversations. All in all, I appreciate the effort you are putting into this series and I would love to see you keeping on with them. L&R.

Ben, I feel like EZAnime is starting to come together. Glad to see the Show is Evolving. I know you didn't have time this week. But I feel like one thing that Frame Trap and EZAnime could benefit from is Bumpers introducing Segments. Even if it's just a brief Musical Interlude with you saying "What're you playing" or something at the end to introduce the Segment. Feel like it would really help the flow of the Show and at the same time make it Easier for you to put in Time Stamps <3. Also for Easy Anime after you guys do the General Spoiler Free Synopsis maybe you could have a more Constructive Criticism approach to the anime? absolutely sing it's praises but also maybe take your time discussing each part? Maybe something along the lines of "Art Style? did you enjoy it?" "Story? What was the Story? is it a Good Story?" "Filler? Is there a lot of Filler? is it good Filler? Bad Filler?" Just some ideas for you. I love the Show and wanna help make it better <3 ***POTENTIAL SPOILER FOR DIAMOND IS UNBREAKABLE (Part 4)*** ***** **** *** ** * Ben, I really think that Diamond is Unbreakable does a better job bringing all the characters and story lines together at the end. I was so happy to see that those episodes that I thought were "Monster of the Day" Episodes had a purpose! Way Better than Stardust Crusaders! For that reason alone I feel like Part 4 was the Perfect Length. I totally agree that Part 3 could be shorter for sure.

Ben and Brad: I feel that in order to fully let you guys loose and give the podcast more structure, this needs to be a spoiler filled show. That way you can easily break down every character and story arc without compromise. I wouldn't worry about segregating your audience since this is already a niche subject and I gather most people listening either have already read/watched the discussed anime or don't care to be spoiled. And the one who haven't can simply avoid that episode. Hope that helps. Cheers! Edit: Speed Racer is really underrated. It has the same tone as the cartoon and its cheesiness is intended. Plus, the visuals are just fantastic

I think Joseph establishes his differences from Jonathan even earlier than when he whips out the gun. Consider his introduction at the very beginning of Part 2 is him fighting a couple police officers! They were jerks and totally deserved it, but I could never picture Jonathan handling that situation by so quickly resorting to violence against officers of the law.

I'm not sure how I feel about part 4. At least part 3 felt like a journey, a quest. 4 seems like the stakes are super low compared to the first three parts of Jojo.

it'll be interesting to watch this, not trying to be argumentative, jojo is possibly my least favorite anime I've ever watched in my 10+ years of watching anime, so it will be interesting to see why other people like it

Araki's art evolves in such a strange way. Look up how he draws anyone from part 1-3 now. They are basically unrecognizable.

When you do a part 2 it would be really cool if you'd go into some of real world happenings of the series like the lack of localization for so long and even the lack of existing ways to consume the series as a western fan (still no Blurays!). it's only recently that Viz Media is streaming the series and Cartoon network is airing it with an English Dub. Why do you think it took so long for Jojo to make its way here despite being so wildly popular in Japan? Also have you guys played any of the Jojo games (especially the old 2D fighter)? Thanks!
