Happy New Year, Allies!

Coming in right before the end of 2016 is last month’s Community Comments. A huge thanks to all that participated, especially for the depth and uniqueness of a lot of the entries. They reflect so many different ways of looking at how gaming fits into our daily, weekly, and monthly lives. This series brings us one step closer to getting to know each other, and that’s a wonderful thing. Even the criticisms in here are carefully handled and completely honest. Nicely done, y’all.

That said, oh boy, is this episode late. I had everything lined up before I left on break, and then the holidays happened. As we approach not only another calendar year, but another year of Easy Allies, I’m getting a clearer picture of what it takes to produce a year of this type of content (for lack of a better word). Priorities shift on a regular basis, and it’s been a real education. Your patience is a greater gift than anything else as we straighten it all out. The next episode of Community Comments is slated for ASAP January, to wrap up 2016 with your picks for Game(s) of the Year.

Thank you to everyone that keeps the conversation going year round on the Easy Allies forums: http://forums.easyallies.com.

I hope you all get a good break from it all before we kick off a brand new year.

Community Comments - November 2016

Some of us were playing the same games in November that we're playing before the very end of 2016: The Last Guardian, Final Fantasy XV, Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2, Pokemon, and the NES Mini. Add to that some great deep cuts like Super Mario Sunshine and Timesplitters get some love from our community.

SEASONS GREETINGS ALLIES! I hope this comment finds its way either on the podcast or the community comments for I need to express my extreme love for you guys and this field of work. I have been a watcher/fan of GT and the gang since 2007. I remwmber one of the first videos i ever looked up on gametrailers.com was for naruto rise of a ninja for Xbox 360 and I was instantly hooked on the site and content. I have always been in the shadows, but no more! I have been more shy when it comes to communities because I have never felt like I belonged, but with the recent change from GT to EZA I feel like I can make my nerd voice heard via patrron. I am about to get to the point, and that is that I am so proud of you guys. You laughed at the face of adversity and when things were looking bleak, you found the light and dragged yourself out of that situation with such unbelievable grace that it deserves more recognition than you get. I myself was going through a major career crisis this time last year and since then I have gotten married, bought a house, and started my own little family like Brandon with a dog. During this transition was a lot of hard work and sacrifice, but you guys helped me more than I can explain and kept my spirits up during such hardship leading up to now. I love you guys. I want you to know that. And MARK MY WORDS I. WILL. MEET. YOU. ALL. SOMEDAY. AT. AN. EVENT. it is my dream to make this happen as both a long time fan and gamer. Proud to be a new patreon to help support other people's dreams. Love and respect always.
