Sony is working with devs to support upgrading their games to psvr2. I know a few small studios in that process now. There is no chance psvr1 games were ever going to work with psvr2 without updating the games. As someone who dev-ed a game for psvr1, it was a weird system. The good thing now though, if you made your game for any other VR system, like occulus, it is much easier to port to psvr2. So any dev that made a psvr1/occulus game, it will port over to psvr2 much more easily.
