It's time to collect your submissions for Love & Respect and Workout Buddies for this week's Easy Allies Podcast. Working on this week's panel, but it will likely either be Brad and Damiani or Brad and Huber.

Workout Buddies

Welcome friends, it's time to get Dawn Romantica into shape. It's up to you to submit a video game character for us to work out with each week.

I'm looking for four things in particular:

1 - The name of an existing video game character to train with. If it's obscure, please include some context.
2 - Which workout activity we'll be doing together.
3 - Our workout buddy's encouraging catch phrase.
4 - And which stat that activity will raise.
(Think strength, agility, mind, stealth, persuasion, etc. Feel free to go outside the box, but there may come a time that we'll end up combining similar stats. Also, please limit stat gains to +1 for a single stat. An associated -1 is cool too though.)

Last week, we chose Samus Aran, who taught Dawn the mysteries of the morph ball, giving her +1 Flexibility.

Love & Respect

Type your question, topic, or game in the comments below. Be sure to include your preferred name if you don't like the one here on Patreon. If your entry is not selected, feel free to submit it again the following week.

These submissions will be collected by 1 PM PT this Thursday. To make it into this week's podcast, please post before then.

We appreciate your support and are grateful for each and every submission, if we're able to include them in the podcast or not.

Workout Buddies: While Dawn is out for a jog, she's approached from a dark alley by Spamton G. Spamton (from Deltarune Chapter 2)! He convinces her to make a deal on a Workout Ready Body, for the low price of all the money in her wallet. If she agrees, Dawn will learn how to live out on the harsh streets of the city, and her Constitution will go up by +1, but Money will go down -1. She will also have to deal with Spamton screaming his catch phrase, "NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO BE A BIG SHOT!"

L&R Hey Allies, with company acquisitions on the rise, and with the recent debacle with Call of Duty's potential exclusivity, it reminds me of how the movie industry used to be. Movie studios had exclusive contracts with actors, and owned their own theaters that had exclusive movies tied to certain theater chains, and sometimes companies tied to the movie industry under them as well. With Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo making their own hardware and games, they're incentivized to buy other companies to bolster their own game libraries and have companies make games for only their console. Do you think this practice helps the overall industry and the games they make (like helping games run better or special controller perks like adaptive triggers and motion controls for the Wii/Switch)? Or is the perks for games not worth the cost of buying multiple consoles just to play all of the big games?
