And to answer Huber's question once my initial comment was read: Yes, I did watch all ten Best Picture nominees. I stand by my original comment of 'mediocrity being rewarded this year'. Of the ten, only West Side Story and CODA I can say I actually liked. King Richard was a decent movie. The rest of the nominees ranged from hardly interesting to incredibly boring to "this shouldn't even be up for Best Picture" aka Don't Look Up. If I had my way, The Father would have been re-nominated and won the top prize.
