Greetings Allies, I boarded the hype train and I was a pre-order day one Elden Ring purchaser and its my first Soulsborne game. The sales associate cashing me out said, "Congrats! I'm so exited to play it myself tonight." A close friend also texted, "Yeah! I hear its 10/10, I really want to play it when you're done." I felt like I was victoriously welcomed into the cool gamer club with an immersive adventure optimistically ahead. Now, almost two weeks later, I'm roughly 12 hours in. I've acquired Torrent and defeated a few bosses both above and below ground. I've also levelled up and bought and sold many many items. I continue to do die, level up, die, level up, then oddly enough die some more. At this point I'm feeling the monotony of the grind and dare I say, disinterest. I find myself wanting to get back into my cozy RE-Verse, God of War, Tsushima worlds again. Therefore, is it safe to say this game is just not for me or do you recommend I keep going, pushing my comforts and skills? Will the magic click soon or should it have happened already? Am I destined for eternal shunning for being "that one guy" who's more excited about Lego Star Wars and just not that into Soulsborne games? Thanks for the advice, much, L&R

Hey Allies, What’s your favorite silly Super? Many genres, from fighters, to RPGs, even some sports games have some sort of over the top, extra powerful move that your character can use after building up some sort of point. Badass ones are great, but I personally have a special place in my heart for those wacky ones that get a laugh out of me. For example, in Monster Hunter Stories 2, if you use the Aptanoth (a large cow like dinosaur), their super has your character riding valiantly into battle, only for the monster to slip on a banana peel, sending them flying into the enemy, doing a ton of damage, and stunning both monsters involved. A truly majestic sight indeed!

Me personally, I've put the game down for a bit until I'm ready to "vibe" with that kind of gameplay. For me, Souls games are a mood thing. The grind of learning through death can be really rewarding, and once you start vibing with a build and growing with it, the games are usually super enjoyable. But, like, if that's not the vibe or mood you're in right now - I wouldn't continue on, especially if you're outright not enjoying it. Come back to it. It's alright. The game is never going anywhere, and potentially some of it's technical issues will get patched. :)
