Hello Allies!

        This is our series finale for Brandon Plays Pokémon! It's been a long road, one with lots of unexpected twists, pitfalls, little annoying pebbles, laughs, tears, and TMs, but now we come to a most expected end of this path: the final battle. Personally speaking, I like this episode more for Jones' final thoughts on Pokémon, from someone who has never played it before to veritable superfan, but I'm sure many of you are excited to see the final battle. Jones vs Bosman. Amateur vs Veteran. Johnny vs The World.

        As you'll see, we talk a lot about how to continue doing videos like this, something we're always thinking about, which clearly just isn't simple. We liked this show a lot ourselves, and we don't want to follow it up with something that will just be plainly worse. We'll think of something. Anyway, thanks for supporting a ridiculously extensive show about Pokémon with almost no video coverage or expert knowledge. It's been encouraging and enlightening, but more importantly it's been fun, and I know we'll have more fun in the future.

I think when Sun and Moon come out you guys should do what you did here, but instead of it all being new for Jones, it's new for both of you. 2 gyms an episode limit, you talk about the Pokemon, npc and other things discovered. Maybe have some of the other Allies that want to join in the adventure. Just a thought.

I can't tell you how much this series has meant to me. A game series I love, overseen by someone who loves it just as much if not more, and seeing it through the eyes of someone experiencing it for the first time who is able to just totally buy in.

Yes, keep doing this series! I understand if we don't get anything until Sun and Moon, but I LOVE this series and I think everyone else does, too. Hearing in-depth stories from the both of you going through the new game would be a ton of fun, and hearing Brandon eventually continuing on from the first game with Silver and Gold would be awesome, as well.

10/10 series, guys! Actually glad that Brandon will be playing sun/moon next. It'll be great to see him experience a new game in the series, and then go back to gold/silver, and realize why it's the best sequel in the franchise. Also, Kyle, how could you let yourself get REKT like that?! You knew how strong Brandon was!

I agree with the name thing at the start of your video. At first I though by just reading the title that this was supposed to be the generic "let's play" kind of playthrough. However, this show turned out to be much more interesting than it appeared to be since it was more about the commentary of your journey and comparing your experiences in the game with Kyle.

Regarding the live watching of Pokemon Origins, as a fan of yours on the opposite side of the world, I really hope you archive your reactions to watching the show somewhere. If you are concerned about getting into trouble, don't, as there are plenty of videos out there that do these kinds of 'watch this shows with us and see our commentary and reactions' that upload their side of the videos and do not get into trouble! Hope to get to watch Pokemon Origins with you guys regardless, although the timezone differences might make it a little too difficult haha

Incredible show as always, guys. Thanks to Bosman and Jones for such an enjoyable series. I'm so relieved it wasn't done in 5-10 minute chunks like you'd planned in the GT days, to have you guys sit down and feel like we're participating in Brandon's journey as much as Kyle was was such a treat. Man, that ending... getting dusty in here. One thing I think you all should do if possible is have some sort of Sun/Moon preview episode, maybe where Kyle can do a recap for all of the games that you skip (Gold/Silver's day/night and huge post-endgame section, Ruby/Sapphire's weather system, and so on for each series) and then predictions for what you think you'll see or what you want to see in the latest games. Especially because we'll all be going into this together, it would be fun to compare expectations before anyone really gets any time with it. As others have said going straight to the new series is going to be a huge jump.

Hey guys. First off, wonderful series! This was always the show I looked forward to the most and I'm super glad you guys did it. Thanks for this. Secondly, I'm down with the live viewing of Origins. I've never seen it myself, and much like Red Dead Revisited, this would be awesome to experience together! Third, I found it super interesting how Mr. Jones ended up taking a 2 or 3 strong route in leveling as opposed to Mr. Bosman's more evened out approach. I tend to finish in the mid-50s with my entire team the same level for the most well rounded team possible. My question to Mr. Bosman: Why hold back about the ultimate end surprise of Gold/Silver if Mr. Jones isn't going to play it? Just a thought. And FINALLY: ALL the fan art was phenomenal. Just a little bummed there were not credits during the montage for those, but still fantastic. Until the next adventure, stay Easy fellow Allies!!!

OMG!! what an epic ending! I could feel how upset Kyle was after the battle, I thought he will use better pokemons and have a master plan to defeat the overpowered Johnny, I've enjoy Brandon plays pokemon a lot, thanks Kyle and Brandon for making it happen, I look forward to the next battle, maybe this time Kyle will bring his A team. I also haven't played any pokemon game since red/blue, so I will try to get on sun/moon once they are released.

I work in a used game store. It's pretty easy to change the batteries for these games. Just look it up on youtube. You might need a special screwdriver, but that should be possible to order.

I would just like to say that I appreciate all of you so much. This series means a lot to me as someone who grew up loving Pokêmon, and not necessarily having many friends to share in the excitement of the new games coming out. I appreciate how you went about this, and I would love if you would continue this in someway. Cheers, guys. I've been with you since before Kyle even started at GameTrailers and I could not be happier that you all are still going strong.

In response to Kyle telling Jones to use his master ball on mewtwo - I make it a point to NOT use my master ball on legendaries. Just feels cheap and ruins the sense of accomplishment you get. It's like beating the optional super difficult boss in a regular jrpg in one shot. I feel like Jones should keep trying with ultra balls so when mewtwo IS caught, he will be euphoric. Just my opinion. 10/10 series. 5 stars. One of the best pieces of entertainment I've watched in a long time. I loved seeing Jones react to things that us as Pokemon fans just consider common knowledge, and I adored his moments of revelation and discovery. Love and respect.

I dont work in a game store or anything but can confirm that it's fairly simple to change the battery but can be a struggle without a soldering iron. I had to tape my new battery to the circuit board in my copy of silver because I didn't have one and one day the tape came loose somehow and the connectors came apart causing me to lose my 30 hour save

I would love to battle you guys, I wish this game had online. I bought red for my 3ds after episode 3 came out to play along with Jones and this is my end team: Charizard level 55 nicknamed Johnny because of this series. Mr. Mime level 56 nicknamed Marcel because there's only one in the game and it can't be renamed because you get it from an npc trade. Gyrados level 57 nicknamed Genji because Overwatch. In retrospect his name shouldve been Hanzo. Pidgeot level 54 nicknamed Ace because aerial ace is my favorite flying move and Ace from one piece. Jolteon level 55 nicknamed Aeon because aeon sounds cool. Snorlax level 54 nicknamed Bubster because that's the first thing that popped into my head. One of my favorite things to do in battles is use Mr. Mime, have him light shield (halves the damage of special moves) and then have him use barrier 3 or 4 times (physical attacks do a lot less damage, effect stacks). Then after hes buffed up I spam Psychic and Thunderbolt

While this show was perfect and this was a great episode too, I would've liked a little more preparation for the teams... Being 20 levels ahead Brandon had it so easy he could've swept all of Kyle's pokemon only using Johnny or Sparky. Changing the team would've been wrong, but I kind of expected Kyle to level them up a bit.

I love this and I'm so sad that it's over I loved this weekly Pokemon thing to look foreword to and hearing a fresh ideas about everything that I have known for so long I don't remember figuring it out. I wish he would change his mind and play gold cause the mind fuck at the end when all that stuff unfolds would be amazing. Still glad he is going to be with us going through the new frontier of the alola region and can't wait to see what his character will look like with the custom options.

Really loved what you had to say in this description here Kyle. It's great to know that this kind of coverage is enjoyable for both creator and audience. Also glad you guys want to do more shows like it, but also are gonna be picky about what game and with who, because that's definitely important. There is some kind of magic in Pokémon that other games don't have. But still, there are definitely other gems that it'd be interesting to dive deep in with other combos of Allies. Just gotta find the right one! Love and Respect!

Great finale guys. I'm really gonna miss this series every week I looked forward to an episode just like I do with Game of Thrones. As always keep up the good work I'm looking forward to more from Brandon Playing Pokemon in the future. Please do a livestream of the Allies playing Pokemon Snap I think Jones would like it as its a cool spinoff Pokemon game. Hopefully I can catch you guys live reacting to Origins too.

Brandon Plays Pokemon is a solid name. I watched Origins on YouTube after the comments pointed it out. Definitely would love to see that reactions video. Surprised Kyle didn't glitch just to at least catch up to the levels that Brandon had. Underwhelming battle but still fun. What happened to explaining Otho though? Overall, I LOVED this series. Put a smile on my face just from getting the notification that a new ep was up. Wish it'd continue with every entry. I know you guys don't want to 'cause it'd lose impact and it's not the same anymore now that Jones is a master but you've got something special in your hands. This is my favorite GT/EZA content ever. THANK YOU both for inspiring me to get back into the first real game series that I fell in love with. I now own a game from every generation and I look forward to catching up and getting ready to play Sun right along you guys. Hopefully, someday I'll be able to share this series with someone else I meet interested in getting into Pokemon. MUCH LOVE AND RESPECT.

Still havent play any pokemon game myself, but I LOVE and ENJOY every episode of Brandon Plays Pokemon! If pudget and time are permitted for the allies (new goal?), will you guys consider having the structure of Brandon Plays Pokemon and apply to other games with other allies (of course, it is always awesome to have Brandon talks about all the games! What a great conclusion to the show! I hope Brandon Plays Pokemon returns as season two. Those base Pokemon trading cards had been in my closet for years. I remember trading to get certain cards, and hoping to get the rest of the cards I needed when I bought more booster packs. Take good care of them Brandon and Kyle. They meant a lot to me.

Kyle new what Pokemon Brandon had and he lost. A Lvl 40 Dugtrio with Earthquake would of killed Raichu.

This series got better with each episode. It's crazy that even without video footage of you guys actually playing the game you still managed to make everyone care for your journey. I remember being so confused about the concept of pokémon going to PCs when they were caught, the idea of using HMs / TMs (I was blown away when a friend told me I could get HM05 Flash to illuminate dark caves), the type charts... I remember when my mom gave me a Gameboy Color with Pokemon Yellow on it as birthday gift, sitting beneath trees after school and leveling my pokémon with not a worry in my mind... It was fun to, in a way, relive those days. Thanks guys!

After you beat Sun and Moon, you guys should have at least two battles. Have one lvl 50 battle with your new Sun/Moon teams and have a rematch of your Red/Blue teams leveled to 50. Maybe help Brandon evolve Toxie so it's fair.

Huh? Why can't you just keep an audio recording of your Pokémon Origins commentary and release that after on it's own so it doesn't get lost forever? Lots of people do that so viewers can sync up their own video to watch alongside at any time. Anyway, this was such a great series. Really fun and really interesting with your dynamic. I hope we can all have fun with Sun and Moon together. Great job!

I always thought the anime explained that Ash's pokemon are roaming Oak's ranch because he's doing research on them. Where a crab is a servant, and Muck is like Oak's dog. Great series. Loved it. Keep it up EZA.

Just started watching this series myself, and the format of it is really captivating - it's a shame that you can only really do it once, since a person's first experience can never be replicated. Looking forward to the finale though!

Heyah Brandon and Kyle. I never really got into the Pokemon games, but I must admit that this show was one of my favorite shows to watch from EZA, and it has made me seriously think about picking up either Sun or Moon to finally try it out. Hope to see more material like this in the future, maybe from different EZA members.

This is an amazing show. I thank both of you for doing this. Brandon, for having the open mindedness and eagerness to dive into this old game. And especially Kyle, he did such a great job hosting this show. In particular, how he managed to hold conversations with Brandon, pushing for his insight for certain things. Kyle's will to hold back on spoilers for the sake of Brandon's adventure was a class act. By far, the best thing GT and EZA has done so far. Thank you! Regarding the battle; A little bit of a let down considering how OP Brandon is relative to Kyle. It'll be fun to see another battle where you guys are the same level.

I'd recommend waiting before playing another one. After finishing Y, I played Diamond, Black 2 and heart gold back to back. I was so burnt out by the end that I hated every minute of Omega Ruby.

This is awesome guys. I've never even played a Pokemon game except GO and I loved this series. Would like to see something else like it. Doesn't have to be with Jones but just someone having their first experience with an old classic. Maybe this could be a Bosman show, then have a guest come and play an old classic they haven't. Bosman as the host.

I gotta say, this was a truly enjoyable series. Thank you! I would have liked a brief discussion about the benefits of training traded Pokémon, but perhaps you can discuss this at another time. I've had a bad habit of not getting very far in Pokémon games, but I'm ready to jump back into the series now with Pokémon Moon and I'm looking forward to it.

Finally got to see this episode after more than 2 weeks! So worth it! Best damn YouTube series to-date. You guys have A LOT to live up to in the next season! Can't wait :)
