Huber recently got to check out the new Deus Ex one last time before release, replaying the intro mission and getting deep into side-quests along with a bit of Breach mode. I sat down to talk with him about what he's played so far as we're both neck-deep in capture for the upcoming Deus Ex Retrospective. -Bloodworth

i just took a break from Human Revolution to watch this. Trying to finish my first Deus Ex game before the retrospective comes out! Also, in an effort to avoid spoilers I muted you guys, it would be nice if the spoiler warning remained on the screen during the duration of the spoiler so i would know when to unmute. Thanks! L&R

I am so pumped for Mankind Divided. The Ghost in the Shell vibes coming off this game are TOO POWERFUL, it's overloading my hype meter! I played through the original Deus Ex on PC so many times trying to discover every choice-based permutation to the story, and although I loved Human Revolution, I felt that the choices available didn't impact the story very much, the ending you chose was disconnected from the choices you'd made up to that point. I'm willing to bet Mankind Divided will make the impact of your choices feel a lot more affecting to the story, and I love that feeling in a game! I also love cyborgs in trenchcoats. LOVE IT ALL.

Open Tactical Espionage RPG. Oooh This is looking like they really went all in for gameplay and world building. Keep up the good work on the retrospective.

Thanks Huber, great preview, got my hyped, and I'm not a big Deus Ex guy, only started with the last one, and gave up on it cause I became lost in the story. Ready to go back now to the franchise.

I love seeing these preview segments! I like the setting and type of game that Deus Ex is, but the character models still look and animate a bit janky. But this'll likely be the best cyberpunk RPG until CDPR's Cyberpunk 2077.(also, likely it's year of release)

I'm excited (HYPED) for this game. I recall starting from a place of skepticism and then getting completely swept up in Human Revolution. Hopefully there are fewer emails to read.
