Bloodworth here,

Earlier this year I started an experiment in the form of a soundtrack club at the $7 tier. Every month, I'd get suggestions from patrons, and then I'd get one other person to talk to about 3 soundtracks - one I brought, one they brought, and one the patrons submitted. While maybe it didn't make a whole lot of sense to anyone else, I really wanted to focus on the club aspect of it rather than adding another a show, and I really enjoyed the long posts and conversations in the comments.

From the start, I was always a little skeptical of how I'd feel about it in the long run, but I wanted to give it a shot and get all the allies to have a turn on the desk to talk about some of their favorite music. After a few months, I realized that while I'll always enjoy talking about music on some level, I just wasn't feeling how this specific process was going. I've definitely felt way more energized and satisfied with the pieces I've done on music in the past. Maybe after a break, I'll find another angle on the idea I like more, but for now I'm letting it go.

With that said, I do think we had some fun conversations this year, and I want to open that up to more patrons. So, all of the past soundtrack club posts are now available for every patron at $1 and above. As always, you can find the full list of episodes on the Exclusives page at https://easyallies.com but I'm including links to each recording here in this post as well.

Additionally, I've kept a running tab of every soundtrack submitted by club members, which you can find here. Be sure to check it out as there is far more great music than we could ever get to. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_nGNeXEScvvwWzm1HfpbF6N6Vu1m2A_DZ1blP6GjwaU/edit?usp=sharing

Thanks as always for your support. I hope you have a happy holiday break and look forward to what's next.

Thanks Blood! Like many, I'm a big fan of game soundtrack and I really appreciate that you try to find a way so people listen to more music and talk about it. It's something that is often really forgotten but is so essential in my opinion.

I didn’t even know this was a thing? Not sure how it flew entirely past my radar but looking forward to visiting them.

I got to say that I did not even know this was a thing. But I'm glad you're branching out! Keep at it and you'll find a great way to share music effectively and have discussions

Thank you for making these. I love the music in a lot of games, and having a show based on that was great. I really appreciate all the work you put into the show ☺️.

Thanks Blood, I was very excited about this and am very grateful for every single episode, however I'm so disappointed with myself as I was not able to keep up with the series. I really underestimated how hard it is to find the time to just sit and listen to a whole soundtrack, pay attention to it, not only have it as a background to my day. Thanks again for all your work, L&R!

I really regret not having realized this tier was around, but I'm very thankful for the chance to dive into it.

So generous, Blood.

Thanks, Blood. I had to drop to a lower tier partway through so I am particularly grateful for this. I'm so happy that you not only have the opportunity to try things out but that you're willing to take those opportunities. I'm looking forward to seeing what you decide to do next.

Maybe don’t make it about any kind of music and not just Soundtracks. Maybe something with the “Made for you” playlists on Spotify. Each episode, have a guest show of their playlist and then talk about whatever sticks out. Either to you, or if it’s live or something, the audience. I’d totally listen/watch something like that.

Thank you for the early Christmas gift Bloodworth. I was planning to upgrade to binge Soundtrack club and participate on Reaction Shots. Music is easily one of the most missable aspect of a game. Mostly it's gameplay and graphics that takes centre stage during reviews and discussions. All of the emotional and memorable moments I had in games and movies are complimented with great music. I'm looking forward on what music content you'll be doing next. Love and Respect.

This is a nice surprise Blood. I didn’t know about soundtrack club, and it sounds like a cool project. Maybe video essays about soundtracks could be a better way for you to talk about them? I know personally at least the way I’ll engage the most is if I see a video in my YouTube sub box.
