Soundtrack Club - Closing the Door and Opening the Archive (Patreon)

Earlier this year I started an experiment in the form of a soundtrack club at the $7 tier. Every month, I'd get suggestions from patrons, and then I'd get one other person to talk to about 3 soundtracks - one I brought, one they brought, and one the patrons submitted. While maybe it didn't make a whole lot of sense to anyone else, I really wanted to focus on the club aspect of it rather than adding another a show, and I really enjoyed the long posts and conversations in the comments.

From the start, I was always a little skeptical of how I'd feel about it in the long run, but I wanted to give it a shot and get all the allies to have a turn on the desk to talk about some of their favorite music. After a few months, I realized that while I'll always enjoy talking about music on some level, I just wasn't feeling how this specific process was going. I've definitely felt way more energized and satisfied with the pieces I've done on music in the past. Maybe after a break, I'll find another angle on the idea I like more, but for now I'm letting it go.

With that said, I do think we had some fun conversations this year, and I want to open that up to more patrons. So, all of the past soundtrack club posts are now available for every patron at $1 and above. As always, you can find the full list of episodes on the Exclusives page at https://easyallies.com but I'm including links to each recording here in this post as well.
