Well, Halloween’s over. I’m a little bummed, I’m not gonna lie. But then I remember everything that’s coming up. Thanksgiving, Game Awards, Christmas, New Years, GOTYs. More reviews before the end of the year, including SMTV, Call of Duty: Vanguard, Forza Horizon 5, Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker, Battlefield 2042. There’s that Animal Crossing update, and those crazy GTA trilogy remasters. Not to mention stuff burning through my backlog right now like Psychonauts 2 and Metroid Dread. I got Far Cry 6 installed on my Xbox, and I made it past the tutorial. I’m ready to be entertained. Hopefully the spooky season was kind to you and you’re looking forward to the rest of 2021’s holidays as well.

*Note from Bloodworth - The audio desyncs around 20:53 then goes back in sync for the editorial. We thought posting would be better than making you wait any longer. Jones has been fighting with YouTube all day.

Hey Mr. Jones! The last couple of weeks have been awesome to see for EZA focusing on some form of charity, both with the Halloween Stream for Gamers Outreach and I was especially stoked to see when MinnMax announced a collaboration between them, GameInformer, and EZA. By the time you’ll get to this question, the stream will be over, so instead of focusing on the contents of said stream (as I have no possible idea of how that’s going to be built out), I instead wanted to ask if we can expect this as an annual thing? As much of a fan as I am about collaborations and seeing attempts to fundraise for a good cause, a combination of those two things is always a win-win I wish we could see more of. Thanks again for reading (hopefully live if YouTube can sort itself out) and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day! Cheers! QUESTION: I was super happy to see EZA be added to the MinnMax/GameInformer Extra Life stream! Could this become an annual thing, whether as recurring guests with them or collaborating with someone else? If review season is typically so busy to do charity streams in the fall, do you think it would be more beneficial if Allies who were interested and able instead focused on seeing if they could link up with others as opposed to a company effort of creating a charity stream?

Hey Jones! I was wondering if you guys would consider uploading more Easy Allies material in podcast form? I guess YouTube being monetised might be a factor, which is fair enough, but I listen to podcasts much more than I watch videos and would definitely go for e.g. an Easy Allies Reviews podcast channel (with an ad tacked onto the end of each review if that would help that side of things).

Also, I run a podcast myself, aiming for a super mellow tone and tempo, if you ever want something like that :) I often shout out the Allies! http://gaminginthewild.com

Hey Jones! I was debating on bringing back my Hall of Greats website to the Community Showcase at one point in the future, if you recall that from what was apparently last fall! Since I’ve changed a few things since it’s inception. Do things return from a previous community showcase? Is that normal? Or will future Joey be weird in this regard? Thanks!

Hello Brandon. The last two videos I’ve submitted to Community Showcase were shown with incorrect color palette. Judging by how it looks on stream, it seems like something on your side is applying HDR to my video file despite the fact that it’s a non-HDR video. Here’s a screenshot that show the same moment in my video and on stream: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jda70z9vx9934si/color_difference.png?dl=0 I understand if you don’t know why this is happening and have no time to troubleshoot this, but if you do, please tell me, because this doesn’t make sense and it’s bugging me. Also, if you remember, can you tell me how it looked on your screen: how it was shown on stream (left image on screenshot above), or how it looks on my end (right image on screenshot above)? (Full disclosure: this problem appeared once I’ve started doing two things simultaneously – capturing game in 4K HDR and giving you raw video file instead of uploading it to YouTube. However, video editor that I’m using doesn’t properly work with such source material, so before editing I’m converting all files to non-HDR with full re-encoding. And then video is fully re-encoded once again during final rendering process, so initial HDR information should no longer be present in the file I’m submitting to you (and every test I’m doing confirms that)).

This is just a weird xsplit thing. It has a tendency to increase saturation. -Bloodworth

Hey Jones! Just saw Blood announce Soundtrack club is ending. I bumped up my pledge this year specifically to listen to the episodes - any plans to replace the show with something else?

Hi Brandon, i‘ve been out of the loop for quite some time, so sorry if this came up before, but this keeps me up at night!😅 Here it goes: was there anything holding Kyle back to do what he‘s doing now and what essentially is Final Bosman with the Allies? I‘m just bummed out, that he is now doing what we wished for, but back then it was always „he won’t do it, stop asking“ (exaggerating here, you’re way more polite). To be clear: i‘m VERY happy for Kyle and enjoy every new episode, i just would be even happier, if it happend with the Allies. If this was already answered or you just don’t feel comfortable answering, just skip this. No worries! Best regards, René

Yo Jones! Been awhile since I've left a CoJ post and this isn't really a question if you don't want to read it on stream, but don't sleep on Guardians of the Galaxy for GOTY's or in general! I know everyone has a lot on their plate, especially near the end of the year, but I feel as though Huber's 8.0 in combination with the general aggregate critic score hovering very close to 7's territory have people putting it on their low priority list. The poor reveal showing, Avengers, lack of marketing, and releasing a few patches too early probably didn't help either. It's quite possibly the best depiction of the Guardians in any media and has the best writing/story/characters I've seen in a Marvel game and honestly, some of the best in games this year and the previous few. The combat/gameplay can be a little too simple at times but still becomes pretty fun with more abilities unlocked or tweaking the custom difficulty settings. Sure, it's probably still getting more attention than smaller/indie games that deserve more attention than these AAA games in general but I feel like a game of this quality is going under the radar for a lot of people. One of the only things going for it is the word-of-mouth as the marketing is nonexistent and would have a lot of things going against it at this point. p.s. the VA for Star-Lord commented on the EZA review and I gotta add that the voice acting was also amazing.

Heya Jones, Oh, I don't know about that. I think it's just one of those things, you know? But if Easy Allies had an And and went back to Or, would that make the Or mean more than it did before?

Ahoy there Jonesy! There have been very few times that I can recall anyone using the often mocked Youtube phrases "like, share, subscribe, ring the notification bell, etc" on any EZA content. Was this a conscious decision from the beginning or has it just been an unspoken line in the sand that you didn't want to cross because you were already asking people to be a part of the Patreon side of supporting the company? I don't know how much of an impact it has but I make sure to "like" every EZA video that gets posted. I will still open up a video I'm not particularly interested in just to give it a thumbs up - is not watching a video to completion a problem? Oh, god... am I the problem now? What have I done? L & R, Potato Viking P.S. - My son is around the same age as Milo and potty training has been WILD, haha. Good luck to you, sir <3

Mr Jones, recently I was asked if I wanted to take on more responsibility in my company, I said no, and then ended up forced into the position anyway. But so far it has turned out well. My question is, how was your journey? Did you always embrace a leadership role?
