On this episode of Frame Trap, we're so excited for E3 that every panelist makes both a wild and reasonable bet about the show. We also share what we love and don't love about Mirror's Edge Catalyst. Finally, Huber gets a little bit of time to sing the praises of The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine while Damiani regales us with Final Fantasy XIV stories.

Just a quick side note, upon listening to the episode, I noticed that I have this annoying tendency to not speak into the microphone, which makes me difficult to hear at certain parts. I'll be more aware of this in the future.

I can't play Skyrim without the Randy Savage dragon mod. Every time I see someone else playing it without that mod, I get confused when a dragon doesn't scream Snap Into a Slim Jim.

Anonymous

So what does this mean for Damiani's bet?

Crouch Jumps were such a big deal in first person games for the longest time, OH man! I love that you talked about that.

You guys put the biggest smile on my face. Thank you so much!

Super Hotake Xtra Ramen Edition.....god that title is gold!

Great Episode! I was wondering why Damiani was streaming Shovel Knight out of nowhere earlier. haha

Ben, I really like to listen to your opinions on everything related to videogames, but when you hosting the show and have long speeches I think it looks awkward, because your panel doesn't know what to do in the same time. I can understand that you build Frame trap on your own personality that implies your elaborated and deep understanding of video games and maybe you want your panel the same deep understanding and the same level of interesting answers you would give yourself. I would advise for you during the show to delve more into panel’s answers, inquiring or joking, trying to understand and open your panel’s personalities

Awesome episode as always. Couple of things: 1. Ben & Damiani - There actually is a free-to-play game called PokeMMO on PC, made by a 3rd party developer. They have a lot of what you mentioned like custom gyms and weekly tournaments etc. You guys should check it out. 2. Brandon - One of my favorite, most addicting tower of defense mobile game is Kingdom Rush. I've probably beaten it at least 4 times. I think its only $3 and it has 2 sequels.

Bayonetta 7.8

As far as the language mechanic thing goes, No Man's Sky is doing it. It looks pretty cool

So Damiani's bet already came true.

Ben please bring Bayonetta to the next group stream so Brandon can play in the corner!

Ben, yes, Ninja Gaiden 2's off-screen rockets/enemy limbs/artillery totally ruined the game for me. It took a game that was brutal, but fair (remember, you haven't experienced higher difficulty in NG yet), and made it completely unfair and frustrating. FUN FACT: if memory serves correctly, enemies, especially ranged enemies, in Ninja Gaiden 1 will NOT ATTACK you when they aren't on camera. I definitely used this to my advantage when fighting extra hard enemies that had deadly ranged attacks. I've said this before, but I really hope you finish the game Ben. I love the ramp up in craziness, and the payoff at the end. PS don't forget quickcharging with essence, and the wooden sword will become amazing at max level.

I hate it when you're trying to stealth, but the moment you get caught - everyone knows who you are, and exactly where you are as well. MGSV did it right with this.

Every since Hideo Kojima made that trip visiting Sony dev studios I've always thought they would work that trip into a presentation at the press conference. The first half of the conference just showcases 3rd party games for the PS4. They are amazing, demos available on PSB, Dreams 2.0 etc, but the audiance is getting antsy that not a single 1st party game has been shown. Then all of a sudden, Hideo Kojima comes out on stage at the halfway point. He says that the last year seeimg what Sony has been exhilarating, and that he wants to show us the amazing games he saw. Show footage of him walking to Santa Monica studios, Guerilla Games, Sony Bend, Naughty Dog, etc and the end of each segment shows off the incredible games they have been making all this time. Then Kojima shows off concept for his Sony game. Then one last thing, The Last Of Us 2, Crash or whatever. Curtain closes, Sony wins E3 forever again. :)

Damiani, you called it on that FFXII remaster!

Remco Slotboom

Damiani sounds a lot less dry if he's talking to someone than just to some mic..

So Ben is going to be at least wearing the PJs on Frame Trap even before E3.

? I don't see this problem at all-I mean, when Ben speaks I believe everyone is just comfortably listening. Natural and no awkwardness whatsoever.

I was expecting Brandon would be watching "Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin)" if he lost his bet but NGE is fine as well. Although Maybe the NGE Movie 1.11 Reboot might be better, Since it covers the first 8 episodes and since it's a Movie, there's kind of a ending. Unless you don't have a copy of that movie. Although there's probably a good chance you could rent or stream it somewhere.

I was thinking maybe two episodes of Attack on Titan, two episodes of One Punch Man

I feel like the solution to Brandon's idea is to have X company say "We are thinking about printing another run of this game. If 1000 people place an order, at $50 a piece, we'll do it. First come first serve", that would work.

Loved the inadvertent Damiani freestyle xD @51:19 "Gun it, go! Hope I'm gonna make it, yo, I don't even know!"

Bloodworth & Wine! Make it happen!
