Nintendo and MS did a great job with Dread, agree with everything you guys said. Crazy that Sakamoto finally got his vision realized, 19 years in the making. Hopefully people will finally forgive him for Other M now :p

That hottake is pretty on point, given this very thing is currently going on right in EZA's backyard on their forums with a notorious regular reposting bad faith screencaps of speedrun times not labeled as such and infographs from around the internet to steer the conversation about price and length to make Metroid Dread seem like a worse game than it is. https://forums.easyallies.com/topic/6187/metroid-dread-thread/167 And this isn't anything new. Hell, this is their usual MO for attacking Nintendo games we've seen time and time again, which unfortunately usually does result in a complete topic derail where everyone is too busy having to defend a game against a bunch of ridiculous arguments coded with all the typical buzzwords you can imagine that at the end of it nobody actually got to discuss the game beyond that. Even, if it gets overcome, they can just steer the conversation right back that way. People see that kind of shit these days all over, and it makes it super easy to immediately dismiss a game and move on. They're so easy to create, spread, and troll with to control the messaging around something with little to no consequence to the people doing this.

Shame Lost Judgment got forgotten so fast when they even did a spoiler mode for the last one. *sigh* Oh well.

I think this is a bit of an unfair characterization. It's not that Lost Judgment was "forgotten so fast", it's that it's review season and we're all being stretched pretty thin. I've reviewed five games in less than two months. We also like to spend time with our families. I think I would be more open to this comment if we didn't do a full review of Lost Judgment as well as a Frame Trap conversation, which is more attention than we're able to give a lot of games. It was even the headlining game of the last episode. - Ben

There's too many games! I love the Yakuza franchise but damn I'm crazy to be committed to something like Lost Judgement right now.
