Bloodworth here. My Banner Saga 2 review is now up. It took a while longer for me to find the time than I'd hoped, but glad to get a second review in the can.

This also marks the first time we've included a descriptor with our final score. So let us know whether you find that to be a useful guide or if you think we should let the stars speak for themselves.

I'n a big fan of the descriptor at the end of the review. Helps drive the point home when the viewer is waiting for the stars to show up.

One day I'll finish the first one and give this a shot, it always feels like such an investment. I'm not sure why but it's always stressful playing that game.

Ohh, I like that descriptor!! Nice touch. Classy.

I like the descriptor but I'd also want them all to be posted somewhere (not in each review). Especially since I feel like "6 and under is garbage" so I'd want to know what the difference is between those lower numbers.

Descriptors definitely help. I recommend not keeping it binary and instead allowing a "if you could summarize this game in one word" sort of thing. Huber could do some funny stuff with that I bet.

The full list is included in every review description. Posting them somewhere else may be something we can do later down the line.

Hey Allies. Just wanted to chime in that, while Banner Saga 2 doesn't interest me, I watched the review to see the new descriptor. I like the new addition moving forward as it provides context for the score. Keep up the great work and as always: Stay Easy fellow Allies.

Great review, Blood! I'm too much of a chicken to start that series, sadly.

I don't care much either way, the reviews are awesome and stand on their own merits, but I think the descriptor is a bit clunky just up there in big text. I think just because the stars on their own with that smooth transition is soooo clean, any changes are going to look cumbersome. Obviously the point of including it in the video is to make it clear, so making it more subtle probably defeats the purpose. IMO just leaving them in the video summary should be enough, but I guess too many people overlook them down there. Assuming feedback is positive and you want to keep them, I guess I'd like to see it just smaller but if you've already tried that in editing and it looks weird or whatever that makes sense. Like I said, doesn't matter much to me either way, just feels a little funny.

I like the descriptor and it helps a lot with people who will see a 5 star review and start complaining that no game is perfect blah blah blah. That way, less intelligent people know what the score means, and normal people know get a better idea of what you're saying lol I wouldn't mind if it wasn't there though. Looks great either way IMO!

Love the score descriptor being part of the video itself. I've seen too many (mostly Youtube) comments in the past where people didn't understand a score properly, and this very concisely solves that problem. Also, I feel like EZA's current score system is more about the review itself and those words summarizing how you actually feel about a game than it is about the number of stars or "score" a game gets.

Oh and great review Blood. I really need to pick these games up. I've been wanting to get into them for awhile, and you're making it even tougher to resist buying them immediately.

The art is gorgeous in this game.

i like the descriptor!

I don't think the descriptor is necessary. I would love to see a rough estimate of time it took to complete the game though or if it was mentioned in reviews.

It's really incredible how much thought and organizing goes into the scripts and cuts of the reviews. I love that I can't find as much finesse in a review video than with the EZA team.

I think Blood got this pretty much bang on, and it's great to see a review praising the similarity with the last game. For me, the pacing of the narrative is what let it down. The build up of events feels a bit messy and sporadic compared to the first game, but it's still excellent, as the descriptor... describes!

Great review, Blood! Can't wait to get back to this gem.

To comment on the "descriptor word", Bloodworth, Yes! Thank you for that extra layer of nuance to the score. I like it!

the descriptor is great, will make people less mad about the star system

The descriptor is a keeper. Thumbs up!

This is so damn beautiful. I don't play these types of games or watch let's plays, but I would watch this one!

Very well written review Blood!

thanks for doing this review Blood, I love this series

I haven't finished the first one and I kickstarted it :P I should start playing it again.

I like the descriptor. I like how much Blood likes everything to do with vikings (SKELLIGE!!!). I actually skipped the first game based on the GT review, but this really makes me want to play both!

Can't wait to play this and I'm glad they made resource management easier.

Consider this another vote to keep the description at the end. It helps!
